Although the date completely knocks me out of going as an educator (and I am alright with that...you cannot accommodate everyone), I would like to give the USPSA staff a BIG THANK YOU for being proactive and naming the location and dates this early in the year

Good shooting and all alphas to the Enos members :)

+100- I will try and get in this one, but more importantly it is refreshing to see the venue announced earlier this year. There are over 50 2009 matches, that I am aware of, already scheduled. That is commendable on all the match official's parts. Thanks to all that have taken the time to get things done in a timely fashion!

Division Specs are up on the USPSA Match Calendar.

9/12/09 - USPSA 2009 Open / Production Nationals

9/17/09 - USPSA 2009 Limited / Limited 10 / Revolver Nationals

Registration Saturday, Sept. 12, shooting Sept 13, 14, 15.

Similar details not available for the LTD / L-10 / Revo, but we can assume the same 3-day format applies: Sept. 16 is change-over & registration date, then shooting Sept 17, 18, 19

Well now that the plan is set, who's shooting back-to-back ??? B)

I'll be there for both. Probably Production/L10

I figure I'm there anyway so why not shoot both?

I'll be shooting open and limited. That should be fun going from the open pistol to the limited gun (oh the recoil)! :surprise:

Best part of it is I never even had to ask the "boss" for permission to go. After the dates came out, I shoved the laptop over so she could see it and she said, "Vegas? I'm going!!", which meant I was going too. This worked out well.

The way they are listed, it looks like the back-to-back matches are on different ranges.

9/12/09 USPSA 2009 Open / Production Nationals Desert Sportsmen, Las Vegas, NV

9/17/09 USPSA 2009 Limited / Limited 10 / Revolver Nationals Desert Lake Shooting Club, Boulder City, NV (Las Vegas)

Both handgun matches are going to be back to back at the desert Sportsman range. Multigun is at Desert Lake.

Had so much fun shooting open last year, I'm going to try to get slots for both ends.

Having never been to Vegas, how far are the ranges from downtown Vegas? Will pretty much any hotel work well for convenience to the range or should a person stay in a particular part of the city to cut down on drive time?

The Pistol Nat'ls will be held at Desert Sportsman's Rifle & Pistol Club. It's located on the far west side of Las Vegas. The drive time from the strip can run anywhere from 30-60 minutes depending on route and traffic conditions. There are two Resort/Casino hotels out on the west side, the Suncoast and the Red Rock Resort. They're both nice properties with a lot of fun stuff around if the family comes along.

Maybe USPSA will be able to get a "Match Hotel" setup with some discounted rates?? That said, there are lots of good deals out there this year that we haven't seen in a while.

Regards,
