zhunter
Old School here I like my balance beam scale. I tried the digital thing, but just did not trust it enough to bet my safety on it. I zero it with the tray on the scale, then I KNOW it is right!!!!!

Jman
Both the Dillon D-Terminator and a (gulp) Lee Safety Scale have a spot on my bench. They keep each other honest. Jim
uscbigdawg
I use the Dillon. Just got to a point that using a balance beam was a pure waste of time. I can check loads quickly when working up loads. Just keep dropping powder into the dish and zero'ing it out. No worries on having to empty out powder, etc. Drop it in the pan to check the weight, then zero it out and keep rollin'. BroncoGlenn
The Lee scale I have works surprising well given it's cost. It lines up well with my Pact digital. However, it is a pain to zero compared to my RCBS 5-10 scale and setting the tenth of grains requires removing the arm from the base to easily set it, which makes measuring unknown weights very time consuming. Finally, the witness marks with their funny angles make me go cross-eyed looking at them. Edited August 8, 2007 by BroncoGlenn

Same scales can cost $90 on USA page, and 150€ on the EU page. Last time I checked, 1€ was $1.4, not the other way round.
