  1. Another question: are the magazines exactly the same in the 9x19 and 9x21 Tanfoglio pistols? Demetrio.
  2. Hi, could you please tell me what's your impressions about the Stock 3? Have you ever had the chance to compare it with the Stock 2? I'm seriously considering buying a Stock 3 for IPSC Production, so that's the reason I'm asking you these questions. Thanks in advance, Demetrio.
  3. I was not talking about EAA specifically. I wanted to know if there is any dealer in USA who sells Tanfoglios, not EAA. I mean, guns imported directly from Italy, labeled as "TANFOGLIO", not as "EAA Witness". I know there is a Tanfoglio representative in Brazil. The problem is that, by importing through them, the final price of the gun will be twice the price I will pay if I import it directly. In this case specifically, if I import a Tanfoglio Stock 3 through the authorized dealer the final price will be about USD$ 4400.00 (with ONE magazine only), and if I import it directly the final price will be something about USD$ 2200.00 (all the taxes & import duties included). You might agree with me, it's a huge difference!!! Demetrio.
  4. Ok, I know that the representative of Tanfoglio in USA is European American Armory (EAA), but the problem is that the gun I want is the Tanfoglio Stock 3 in 9x21 caliber, not listed in the EAA catalogue. The reason I need a 9x21 pistol is because the 9x19 is not permitted for civilian use where I live (Brazil). So my two questions are: 1) What dealers in USA sell Tanfoglio guns? 2) Which from these dealers export internationally? Thanks for any help. Demetrio.
  5. Just two questions: 1) are the CZ pistols distributed by CZ-USA made in USA or made in Czech Republic? 2) are the EAA Witness pistols made in USA or made in Italy? Thanks, Demetrio.
  6. Which one from these two do you think is better for IPSC Standard Division? Thanks, Demetrio.
  7. Only Taurus, made in Brazil (arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ) Anything else only through import. Demetrio.
  8. Here in Brazil, like in Italy and few other countries, the 9x19 caliber is not permited for civilian use, so the options we have for competition are the 9x21, 38 Super Auto, .40 and .45 ACP for pistol, basically. I am right now in the process of choosing a gun for IPSC Production division and considering getting one in 9x21. I like the 9x19 a lot (I happen to use it for work) and think the 9x21 will give me more of the good characteristics of the 9mm I'm used to than the 38 SA can do. I know that many in my country will prefer the 38 SA because it's hard to find 9x21 brasses over here, but I have already got some considerable amount of brasses in the caliber for reloading, so that's no problem for me anymore. What do you think about this? Would you also choose the 9x21 over the 38 SA in my situation? Demetrio.
  9. Hi, I have read that the trigger systems in the Stock II and Stock III are better than the one in the Limited Pro, so I was wondering: would be it possible to replace it for one of those two? If so, which would fit better? Thanks, Demetrio.
  10. That's what I was afraid of... Thanks for the info, Demetrio.
  11. Hi, I have two CZ75s and the slides are just a little different from each other. On the newer one the top of the slide is plain, the dovetail for the rear sight is cut about 10 mm wide (measured at the base of the dovetail) and the front sight has a longitudinal dovetail too. The other pistol seems to be very old. The top of the slide is rounded, the dovetail for the rear sight is cut about 8.4 mm wide only and I have no idea how the front sight is fixed on the slide (I can see no any cut in the slide to insert the front sight in). I have a competition sight set installed on the newer one, that I use to shoot Production division. I would like to use the older CZ for training, but the original sight set installed on it is very weak, so I'd like to know if there is any sight set available out there for this specific pistol. Thanks for any help, Demetrio.
  12. I found this at the IPSC Production Division List: "Also approved are variants with original Ceska Zbrojovka (CZUB) barrels which are longer than standard (e.g. SP-01A, SP-01DK, SP-01DK Shadow), provided the barrel length does not exceed 127mm, and provided all other aspects of these variants fully comply with all other Production Division rules" Any information about these models? Pictures? I was not able to find anything over the Net about them. Thanks, Demetrio.
  13. Does anyone have the contact email of Canyon Creek, please? I tried to contact them through the "contact us" link at their website and got a failure notice in my email box (connected to 97.64.187.45 but sender was rejected). Thanks for any help. Demetrio.
  14. Hey, guys, how about the VZ Frag grips? http://vzgrips.com/gun-grips/cz-grips-1/cz-75-1/cz75-frag I'm undecided between the Tactical Diamonds and the Frag model, so which one do you think fits better in large hands? And which one will give a more comfortable grip in your opinion? Thanks, Demetrio.
  15. My experience: Fiber optic = more speed Black post = more accuracy
  16. Yes, I'm very tempted to go with a Tanfoglio indeed. Tanfo Stock 3, to me specific. Cheers, Demetrio.
  17. This is not very encouraging, especially when we are talking about a such expensive gun. And to make things worse, the one I had in mind was a 9mm X-Five. Thanks for the information. Demetrio.
  18. I have read some complaints about extractor issue on the X-Five Allround. Any comments about this problem?
  19. I'm looking for a 5-inch gun for Production and considering the Sig P226 X-Five Allround. I never had the chance to handle one, so I need some additional information about it, such as: 1) How about its DA/SA, compared with say Tanfoglio Stock 2, Tanfoglio Stock 3 and CZ Shadow? 2) Does it fit well in large hands? Thanks, Demetrio.
  20. Could you tell more about this gun? Seems interesting. Does it have enough grip area for large hands? Demetrio.
  21. I must say I never had the chance to handle an XD, and given that I have large hands, my fear is that my grip may interfere with magazine changes during a COF. What can you say about the XD grip, is it long enough to prevent the occurrence of a such issue? Another thing: I shot a Glock 17 for two years in Production, and a problem I had sometimes was the slide "bitting" my strong hand at the beavertail area. What can you say about the "beavertail" area in the XD, is it more or less suitable for a such occurrence, compared with a Glock? Demetrio.
  22. Where do I get a Springfield XD with some basic custom work, such as trigger job, extended mag well and competition sights? Thanks, Demetrio.
  23. I have decided I need a 5-inch gun for Production, so I'd like to get some advice on which gun I should buy. Considering at this point one of these two: => Springfield XD Tactical Model 5" => Tanfoglio Stock 3 What do you recommend? Regards, Demetrio.
  24. I tried and hated it. Same as shooting revolver. Demetrio.
