Thanks for everyones help. Tested 3 new loads today and have found one that runs perfectly, no FTF, light primer strikes, or FTEs. I needed to up the powder to 4.0 grs of Titegroup and shorten the OAL to 1.130. Now to make some rounds, check the sight in, and run them through the chrono. Thanks again.

Just had a BarSto ported barrel fit into my Springfield XDM by a professional gunsmith. He tested it with factory 124 gr ammo and worked fine. I got it home and tested it with my 9mm load that I have used for many years and am getting failure to feed issues. (See photo). My normal load is 3.8 grs Titegroup with Rocky Mountain Reloading 9mm 115 gr FMJ round nose bullets (chrono 1050 fps). OAL is 1.140. Question......is OAL too long that would be causing these misfeeds? The Bar Sto barrel chamber is tight with drop ins but the rounds do fit into chamber. Just not when being stripped from magazine. Any suggestions appreciated. Or, could stretching the mag spring just a hair to increase upward pressure help solve the problem? Or......do I need to increase powder charge to make sure slide travels far enough back to fully compress recoil spring? If yes, then who has a load for my bullet and powder combination that will get me the 1100-1150 fps I would need?

Round nose? Any chance you can put a caliper to one and let me know the length from base to tip?

It has happened to me too, and I shot USPSA for 20+ years so I know it's not limp wristing. I have bumped the fps up and am awaiting an 11# spring. Should solve the problem. Thanks.

I should have mentioned that I have installed a Charlie Vanek trigger kit in it and installed the 4# firing pin spring, so I got that part covered. Doing some testing today and, if need be, will order the 11# recoil spring. Appreciate all the great answers. Thanks.

My concern is, with an 11# spring, are you risking damage due to increased speed of slide?

I have a Gen 5 Glock 17 that I am reloading for on a Dillon 550 (reloading experience 20+ years). Right now it has a 13# recoil spring in it (17# factory too hard for grandson to pull back). Load right now is 3.8 grs Titegroup with Zero 115 gr. jacketed roundnose bullet. OAL is 1.070 and they chrono at 1002.60 average. But, every now and then I get a FTF as in attached photo. So, what causes this? Too short OAL? Recoil spring weight? Powder charge? Suggestions appreciated.

Sorry, should have mentioned it is a Gen 5 Glock. The Tec Performance one will not work.

The standard Gen 5 captured 9mm guide rod/spring unit is 16 or 17 lbs, I believe. Am I correct? Does anyone make a unit for this Gen 5 that is 14 lbs? Where purchase? Link? I reload and am looking for a lighter recoil spring assembly. Not using any +P ammo in it. Thanks for any help.

Just got a Glock 17 ( I have had numerous Glocks before) and I would like to get an adjustable sight set for it. I like a plain serrated black rear and a red fiber optic front. Can anyone recommend a set that fits those criteria? Gen 5. Front sight is not in a dovetail, it has that heaxagon shaped "pin?" inside the slide.

Just curious, does anyone make hi cap (20+ rounds) magazines for the Ruger Mark IV 22/45 Lite? I fully understand that they would stick way out of the bottom but trying to find out if there is such a thing or not. Thanks.

I have a Ruger Mark IV 22/45 Lite that I have upgraded with Tandemkross parts. Have added their TK compensator, Halo charging ring, Volquartzen trigger kit, TK trigger, TK extractor etc. Gun shoots great but seems finicky about what ammo it likes. Tried CCI standard velocity and was getting a number of fail to extracts. Figured it was the extra weight of the Halo on the bolt slowing things down so switched to Federal high velocity. Works better with fewer FTE's but getting some failure to fires. What should I try next to make this 100%? Was thinking about trying CCI MIni Mag, anything else that is not ridiculously expensive? So, I added a Tandemkross "halo" slide pull to this gun and have had a few failure to extracts since installed. I assume it is because the extra weight is slowing down the bolt. Should I just switch to high velocity ammo to solve the problem? Thanks for any help.

I have an older Ruger 10/22 that I would like to get a bipod for. It has no sling swivel to attach one to, see photos. Can anyone suggest a reasonably priced bipod that would fit on this rifle? Something that would just take the place of the barrel band? Where purchase? Thanks in advance.
