John Heiter
Not sure why they changed but I don't see a lot of positives for this new online format. It's going to take me forever to find what I need like this.
AustinMike
I've never liked their web site. It is very difficult to find what you're looking for. I find that it's a lot easier to just use their printed catalog and enter the part numbers online.
diehli
I, too, think their website did and does suck, but it does seem better now than the previous iteration. That being said, I do what Mike does most of the time.
GeneralChang
I just shot them an email about their website. The previous format was terrible but this new one is worse.
kimel
I agree. That is why my paper copy is VERY well thumbed. I just use the website for ordering from a list of part #s like Mike does and looking at parts diagrams. And they really need a "zoom in" feature on the parts diagrams. I suppose if I had a 20" monitor I could read the darn things but I sure can't on my 17". Otherwise their site is nigh unto useless.
Brundoggie
Too bad their website sucks when they are my favorite parts supplier. Good prices, fair shipping costs to Hawaii (are you listening Dillon?), great selection and great service.... but a substandard website.
cking
THe website is only good for checking stock and seeing new products if you don't get an update flyer. But Catalog 58 is full of errors, double listing of products with two different prices, stuff not listed in index. and Manufacture index has got errors also. Most amount of errors I've seen. Search misses obvious stuff or returns too much and then doesn't let you search among that group.
jhgtyre
I had just gotten really good at finding MOST of what I was looking for on their damnable website when they changed it! Oh, well, they are still by far the best game in town so I will keep sending them money. -ld
Mig
Agreed . . . New webpage is very poor and not very user friendly.

al503
I disagree about their prices. On some of the stuff I've looked for in the past, they're above MSRP. x3 using the catalog and putting in the numbers.
benos
I just shot them an email about their website. The previous format was terrible but this new one is worse. +1 I like how you can't see the price until you click "order". be
gm iprod
Brundoggie If you think freight on Dillon to Hawaii is bad try New Zealand, I use BAX and they seem to be good, quick and reasonably priced, only alittle dearer than sea freight, but a whole lot quicker and nothing missing. Others are unreasonable. But the damn boxes are so big and heavy. The main issue is many US firms think export is Hawaii????? Dillon are cool it's the freight companies that gouge. cdfcapt
Reading this reminded of how frustrated I get on this site when I don't have my catalog I clicked over and see it is just as bad as ever
raz-0
I guess I'm in the boat that I considered the last site so bad I couldn't tell the difference. I think their catalogs are arranged fairly horribly as well. At least when it comes to "i want doohickey X." Unless it clearly falls into one of their notions of what should be grouped together, you are at the mercy of their less than stellar index. BSeevers
Me never likey-ed Brownells webpages either I always use the catalog then go to the web
JFD
I was about to say I thought the new site sucked just as bad as the old site. However I discovered last night that the new site reaches a higher level of suckage. Surely there must be magic words to utter in order to actually find anything with the search function. THEN I ordered more stuff from Shooters Connection and regained my sense of calm.
John Heiter
New Site! Now 13% more craptastic than ever before!
Gregg K
Yep, the old site wasn't very good but the new version just plain sucks. Sure hard to find things even when I know they have it.
