  1. Thanks a bunch, Sharyn, for posting the videos.
  2. 400 rounds delivered to my parents today. I'll be bringing along anoth 100 with me when I fly out next week. i am soooo looking forward to this vacation.
  3. I don't think there will be anything formal for a BE dinner Saturday night. I volunteer to be the hub of ideas and eventual plan for a get together on Sat. Maybe Venry can jump in here and volunteer to help out, he did a great job with the Mexican dinner last year. Anyhow, catch me at the match or before and I'll try and organize something.
  4. I used the USPSA ammo last year and it was a mistake, verrry dirty. This year I'm shipping it all to my folks in Naples and will pick it up prior to driving to the match. Unfortunately there is no "UPS Ground" from Hawaii so it will go FEDEX.
  5. Always fill your mags, always fill your mag pouches.
  6. Gotta go with Sharyn and some of the others here, while not "offensive" or pornographic the ads are inappropriate in a membership publication. Further, they reflect badly on the company that chose to run the ad. That being said, lets not overreact, please. They were a bad idea, not the fall of mankind.
  7. M-Train, Whatever match you decide to shoot, break up the jetlag a little and stopof in Hawaii to shoot either a club match or one of two big statewide matches we have. Aloha, Bdog
  8. The awards run so late because they hand out ALOT of awards not to mention a pretty fine prize table. Personnally, I thought the delays between stages were sorta relaxing and gave me a chance to see some of the other squads shoot as well as check out upcoming stages.
  9. In addition to the cost savings on reloading your own ammo, there is a lot of pleasure in the hobby aspect of the effort. I find it a pleasurable evening, one not wasted on mindless TV, to retire to the reloading bench to crank out a couple of hundred rounds.
  10. Shoot the match! It will be challenging but nothing you won't be able to handle as long as you take your time, go at your own pace and stay safe. I shot the match last year and have signed up again this year. You'll have a great time.
  11. Never, ever, startle a sleeping monkey. Trust me on this.
  12. Great match, great squad to shoot with. The match was well organized and ran smoothly and had a lot of challenging stages. You know the stages are good when the 11 people on your squad shoot them 6 to 11 different ways. Boo took 2d C in Limited and walked away with a plaque and some prize money. (Boo, make sure you get both from Harry.) I heard the final DQ count on the Skydiver stage was 10 including one shooter who dropped his gun and then punted it about 10-15'! Some international shooter stole my Harley at the drawing and the prize tables were basically a random draw by Division rather than in order of finish. I'm not sure that it is fair that a middle of the pack guy like me walks off with a $250 watch and someone at the top takes home some toothbrushes and bullet samples (just a joke, I don't know what the lower value prizes were.) Overall it was well worth the trip halfway around the world and I'll definately try to be back next year. Thanks to the rest of the 3-E, er umm, I mean, B-E squad!
  13. Donation sent, worth every penny.
  14. I think one of the "locals" on the squad need to suggest the place.
  15. Works for me, I gotta eat both nights anyway. Plus, shooting tends to make me a little thirsty as well.
  16. Way cool channel - I got to watch the original Magnum PI episode!
  17. Best, I think, to let old wounds heal.
  18. Any of you guys on the squad have a "match hotel" in mind? I'm clueless about the area and need a suggestion.
  19. Does the reply card give you any info other than "Congrats! You're In!"
  20. Play by play analysis (humorous) for those of you who missed the game: http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story...=simmons/060105
