TheGoatMumbler
This was in a zip lock along with the factory firing pin from a 929 I bought from a guy. Does anyone know what it is and why is it not in the gun?

TheGoatMumbler
Thanks. Since it functions perfectly I guess it's not needed.
alecmc
It's the hammer lock , part of the " hillary hole " , You use the little key that came with the gun in the hole in the side of the frame to raise that piece ( the flag ) so that it blocks the hammer from moving. Most competition guys choose to remove them as they are un-nessasary to the function of the gun, some have even reported the hammer lock engaging on its own during normal firing. Alaskan454
I take mine out, if you ever need to fire the gun upside down it will engage itself.

jcc7x7
They do, I've installed a few for a couple of guys. I think they're like 70.00 bucks, I also THINK TK sells the part. Going from what those guys said. Edit Just looked, not on TK's site, so not sure now where they came from. Edited April 5, 2020 by jcc7x7

I dont see it on the website right now. Give them a call and ask for Eli or Tom and they can likely set you straight. -Alec

Alaskan454
I fire my guns in all kinds of weird positions! Have you ever seen Rob Leatham shoot through a low port? He just bends over and shoots upside down without kneeling.
