ppierceall
I am sure this has been asked but.... If you are putting a lot of rounds through your pistol and especially for your competition guns - What cleaning and lube products do you use?
Nimitz
Hopps #9 for cleaning & Slideglide & synthetic 10W-30 motor oil for lube 50,000+ rds and counting over the last 2 years ....
Youngeyes
+1 on the Hopps and Slide-glide. Brian's Slide-glide has always worked well. Here's some more info...http://brianenos.com/pages/slide-glide.html
Steve RA
I clean in a parts cleaner with kerosene and lube with Shell Rotella T - full synth - 15W/40.
b1gcountry
I use ballistol. It doesn't seem to gum up as much as some others
techj
+1 on Ballistol - also I don't' have to worry about getting any on the grips and the wife doesn't get (as) mad at me when some gets on my clothes. If I'm not going to detail strip but want to get the internals clean I do use the Hornady 1-shot aerosol cleaner/dry-lube. And for firing the firing pin channel just some 90%+ Isopropyl alcohol. inrut
Seal 1 works great in the paste and liquid.
bigboy69
+1 for the Hoppe As far as lube I've tried so many. I tried the Mobil one but I noticed my gun was super dirty after a match. I just switched back to the Brownells lube and I'm going to stick with it. My gun functions great with it and is still clean looking after a match. BeerBaron
Hoppes for inside the barrel. Brake cleaner for everywhere else. For lube I like kleenbore formula 3 but it's not sold anymore. So I now use mpro7 in the action etc and enos slide glide on the rails and barrel lockup points.
AdamMP9
I use good old CLP , and for lubing I usually use extreme weapons grease by slip 2000 . Altho recently I did pick up some slide glide and I must say I am definitely impressed .
fishsticks
I've tried lots of different stuff, but keep coming back to plain old CLP. Simple and works. Nothing else on the Glock, CZ gets a little white grease on barrel hood, bushing threads and rails.
machinist91
Grog lube for me cause it not only works as a lube but also as a shield to repell carbon and dirt and the warmer the area you are cleaning the better it works.
Ferg34
I've been hooked on frog lube since the first time I tried it. It seems to provide good lubrication and makes cleaning so much easier. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
EDA
MPro7. Been using it since 2000 and it works great.
FlightMurse
I started using slide glide and love it. Hoppes for cleaning.
warpspeed
I use WD-40 to clean. I have a parts washer filled with it and have found it to be an excellent cleaner. I do use Hoppes for cleaning shotguns as they seem to have more powder residue to clean than anything else and have found a product called Wipe Out I use on rifle barrels that is simply wonderful. As for lube, Mobil One for oil needs and Slide Glide for grease.
Beastly
Competition: 99% isopropyl alcohol. FireClean (has mostly replaced EWL). Combo makes for easy cleanup. I'm shooting polymer coated bullets, occasionally a bore cleaner, have a couple, no strong opinion. Eezox for more of a dry lube and long term protection, especially for blued guns. zen_grasshopper
A rag to wipe the grease out. High temp bearing grease thinned with motor oil. Dry bore snake every once in a while. Works just fine.
darkvibe
I clean with a can of chlorine free brake cleaner. Dry bore snake through the barrel.
