I am looking for a limited elite but not a pro. I am trying to get more 3 gun shooters involved in a great pistol through education.

Good luck with that. Most guys that see I'm running a CZ are terrified that there's no passive safety.

2011s are in the same boat being that with most custom 2011s the grip safety is pinned. Most ROs that I have talked to don't count the grip safety as a legal safety device since most often than not its pinned.

Still doing the Tanfo/2011 debate myself

I was doing the Tanfo/2011 debate and I went with a Trubor 9mm. My biggest determining factor is the amount of parts and the number of gunsmiths. I think I made the best decision for me; so much so I looking at getting an Akai Custom. I went to his shop and holy crap; his custom builds are very nice. On another note, I don't understand pinning the grip safety. If you grab it then it will shoot; that's one mod I will not be making.

I never understood pinning it either. If you have proper grip then its not a problem, its not something I would do either.

I still can't choose between the two although I am leaning toward a 2011, mostly as I have looked over the last couple of days there are no Limiteds or Lim Pros to be found. Plus because my biggest fear is leaving my pistol behind when I shouldn't thus earning a trip to Dairy Queen I really want level 2 retention and I just can't find a level 2 holster for a Tanfo.

Anyway - BRING ON MORE GUN PORN!

My next project. I mounted a .22 conversion on my Limited Pro frame. I'm going to modify a factory magwell to accept a stock .22 mag. I'm having my machinist buddy make me some extended mag bases and then it's off to the races. I've only fired 10 rounds of slow fire with no problems. Tomorrow I'm running 50 rounds thru it. Slow and rapid fire.

What caliber is that? Barrel?

The short one is a Stock II slide, 38 supercomp with a two port comp, (4) 1/8" holes in a V pattern and (3) 5/32" holes straight up.

I got the long one ready to shoot: Limited slide, 9mm with three port comp, no holes for the first trip but will likely end up with (3) 3/16" holes straight up; I'll start with 1/8" holes, then open them up after I chrono.

Thoughts on the henning grips?

I like it... it's between the stock wood and the Xtreme, fills my hand better than my Xtreme but got no issue using either one.

Thanks. I've got a set ordered, but while waiting for back order to be filled the mind wonders if they were the best choice!

Very nice garmil. :) how do you like the rts2? How would you compare it to the traditional cmore slide ride?

I love my 90 degree mounted cmores but my new open gun has an rts2 on it. I'm unsure whether or not I'll try it out or go straight to a regular cmore.
