"AA7 11.5g w 115"

I'd be surprised if you weren't making major with that load, especially since I don't believe your barrel has any holes. I use 11.2g w /115 gr bullets @ 1.235"(JHP) - 1.250"(fmj) in a gun with three big ports and get around 170pf.

Ya. I'm pretty sure that it will be maj. No holes in the barrel. The old pf super guys said 11.8g Aa#7 under a 115. I can really understand why too! It's soooo soft! I just need to chrono it to be positive.

Beer. This is what very little data I was able to collect the other day b4 it was just too dark to do anything. 5 shot strings. 3 of 5 recorded for most.

I could back it down to the 10.2 level. I want to load some up around 10.0 and see how it runs vs the 10.5

When I loaded 10.5 I thought 10g wouldn't cycle with a 10lb spring. I thought I had a 10lb spring in. I didnt... It was the spring that was in the gun when I got it 3rd or 4th hand. So I'm thinking around 15lb. So only really high pf loads would cycle it at all. Now that I have a 10lb spring as well as the 8lb spring I will load and chrono some lighter loads and see how they shoot. Compare springs as well. Go from there.

Kneeling atlas Hooked me up with a hunter upper, .40 cal.

This thing ought to be the new hotness. I don't know if it's the *thumb rest [generic]* or what, but my limited has significantly less recoil than my stock 2 in .40 with the same major load.

The 6" upper might be like a sub minor 9mm. Can't wait to test it out.

Looks great! I loved the my hunter. I will have one again some day. It's crazy soft. Even with stout 10mm loads it was soft shooting! The set up looks great too. I live the two tone.

I have the same setup, 6 inch 40 s&w and it shoots like a 380 in a large pistol using 220 grain xtreme plated and 4.2 grains of longshot. OAL is 1.130. I tried 3.8 grains of w231 and while it does make major it is not nearly as accurate as the longshot load. I think it has to do with the slower burn rate which favors the longer 6 inch barrel.

Atlas is just working harder than we are. My grandfather used to say, "There's no rest for the wicked". Then he would continue and say, "So there's no rest for us either or the wicked will out work us." Not to imply Atlas is a bad guy, just that most of us need to work harder to earn more money and buy more really cool pistols, train more and load more ammo to shoot more. If it was easy then everyone would do it.

Yes, very much so. They just seem to be the perfect width or at least for my hands. The EG grips may be a tad more grippy but even with being hot and hands sweat I feel these won't slip out my hands and course I use liquid grip. No issues of any extra dirt or anything cuz of the holes either. For $85 bucks I think they're great.

On a side note I did a polish and trigger job after I got it yesterday evening. Changed springs, firing pin, etc etc and went and got sighted in this morning. DA is around 6.5# and SA is around 2.75#, ran 250 rounds of practice ammo which didn't case gauge my Hundo perfectly and gun ran flawless using 8# long slide recoil spring (only extra recoil springs I had were long slides). Was very happy I didn't have any FTF like I did when first got Stock III's

Couldn't you put a small piece of phone screen protector over the back and cut to match the grip. No dirt then.

I would consider filling them 2/3 of the way with a clear epoxy.

As long as it stays clear. If it turns yellow after a little time, it would make the gun look much worse, IMO.
