  1. Just installed my KUSA extended mag release and enhanced safety. Now I can reach the safety and mag release with my trigger finger without changing my grip. The next thing I’m getting is the magwell flare and I’m ready to go. The ALG trigger will have to wait. Also, working up light recoiling load using 158 gr. bullet.
  2. CClassForLife, Do you use stock trigger or do you have an aftermarket one? The trigger on my KR9 is not bad but has a long pull.
  3. I’m getting my KUSA KR9 ready for local steel shoots. Does anyone use the KR9 in PCC competition, and if so, what upgrades did you make to your gun?
  4. Gold Team, .40 S&W 3/4" to 1 1/4" off sand bags at 25 yards. 8.4 grs. of Autocomp under 135 gr Rainier.
  5. Fur, Feathers and Fins had a new 9mm Trubor with thumb rest, Cmore red dot scope and mount for $2600. I don't know if that's a good deal or not but they had it.
  6. Witness Limited Pro, 9lb recoil spring, 155 gr Rainier, 3.5 grs WST. Very mild steel load.
  7. I had a similar problem with my.40 Gold Team. It began when I started reloading a new batch of range brass. After checking out everything I could I noticed I had some CBC stamped brass mixed in with Federal, Winchester, and Remington brass. After removing the CBC loaded rounds, I haven't had a jam in 300 rounds.
  8. You could probably go 3.2-3.5 gr. WST with your 180 gr. Bullet.
  9. Before I switched to unlimited (can't see open sights anymore) I used 3.5 gr of WST under a 155 gr Bayou Bullet. I used a 9 Lb recoil spring in my EAA Limited Pro. The guys at the club couldn't believe how little the gun recoiled. I told them I had been working out and was holding the gun with all my mightt but it was the load. 40 S&W 155 gr BB 3.5 gr WST 1.13 OAL 9.0 lb recoil spring
  10. Dave, You already know how I feel about the 40GT. Mine is extremely accurate and fast, but it would be interesting to see which one you prefer if you buy a 38 Super. I think in the USPSA arena, more is better, with everything else being equal. As far as plates go, I can hold my own against the 38 Supers and 9mm here in the Cinci area. But at 57, time is running out.
  11. This load works great in my .40 Gold Team 135 gr. Rainier plated bullet 8.5 gr. CFE Pistol 1.130 OAL 1280 fps Very accurate. Quick dot recovery. Good plate load.
  12. ChuckS, You are right, 135 gr. Rainier. Getting old.
  13. Just remember, each gun is different as well as the shooter. What works for me my not be the best for you.
  14. I tried the 155 bb in Gold team, but for me, I had better accuracy, better control, and faster recovery with the 140 Rainiers. You have to grip the gun firmly but I can just about shoot steel plates as fast with this load as with my .22. Ruger.
  15. I use 8.5 grains of Autocomp under a Rainier 140 gr. plated bullet. 1 inch at 25 yards accuracy and this load works great in my Witness Gold Team. Very quick dot recovery. It's a little loud but we are talking open here.
  16. I shoot a .40 Gold Team. I use a firm grip and keep the gun pushed out with my arms fully extended. I don't put much pressure on the thumb rest. If I relax my grip, the dot starts to jump around. This works for me in shooting steel with quick dot acquisition.
  17. Have you tried shooting some factory loads and see if you get the same results?
  18. If it wasn't for a mental meltdown on the last round of the last stage I would have shot a better score with my .40 Gold Team then my .22 MARK III Ruger last night shooting steel plates. 8.4gr AC under a Rainier 135gr plated bullet gets back on target darn quick. The kid shooting the 9mm didn't have a chance.
  19. I shot this load (3.8 WST under 155 Bayou Bullet) in my Limited Pro for 3 years with no problem. I put a red dot on the Limited Pro last year because of my eye sight and shot in Unlimited division. People were asking me how I could get such a flat shooting load with no compensator. I lied and told them it was my firm grip that kept the muzzle flip down.
  20. Witness Limited Pro 3.8 gr. WST 155 gr. Bayou Bullet 8 lb. recoil spring Excellent plate load with very mild recoil and good accuracy. If I remember correctly it made minor with a little to spare.
  21. My Witness slide racker only came with one set screw but has two tapped holes in it. I took a screw out of a supersight I had laying around and it works great.
  22. Shooting open is an addiction.
  23. I don't know how "flat" my gun shoots but here's what I do know. With the load I'm shooting currently, the dot settles down before I have the next target in my sights. It appears to me the dot is not moving vertically at all. This is the sight picture I get when shooting plates as fast and accurately as I can. But when I'm shooting slow and deliberate, I lose sight of the dot for a moment. So my gun does not shoot as flat as it seems when shooting in a speed competition, but it doesn't matter because it's settling down faster than I can get the dot on the next target.
  24. Denver Dave, I've been kicking .38 Supers and 9mm's behind for the last 9 months with my .40 GT. I send the boys home crying with their STI's and CZ's dragging behind them. I think you know what my recommendation is;)
