So anything good at shot this year for three gun?

Recommended Posts

I didn't see anything ground breaking. I did get to fondle the soon to be released AP Custom load-2 carriers. Very nice. While I'm still loading weak hand, this AP version seemed to be most solidly built yet. The ones they had were still prototypes, I think Ryan said the production versions would be a little less beefy/lighter.

Lancer had some carbon fiber shotgun tubes that looked pretty cool along with their Outlaw rifle for 3-Gun. The S&B 1-8x scope looked great on 1x and did well at the high end too. JP Rifles didn't attend so they could try to catch up on orders.

Giessel has a new AR handguard coming. Similar to KAC in design, but lighter. Saw a one-piece AR upper and rail combination that was absolutely awesome but the guy couldn't/wouldn't tell me who made it bc it was a prototype and not theirs. Would have bought the thing on the spot if I could. Magpul has a new AR rail cover/hand stop combination on the way. It is avail. for pre-order at Brownells.

post-43146-0-89267700-1358911033_thumb.jNightforce 1-4x24 scope is avail with a new reticle that's essentially the FC-2 w/range marks and they added a nice throw lever.

Nice I saw they have a new scope with good illuminiation but its a precision rifle scope. I really wish they would come out with a 1-4 or 1-6 with a good reticle (did that here) and with daylight visible illumination. (Still have sucky illumination)

The FC-2 and FC-3 illumation is just a dot, and that seems to work fine in daylight. I have a 5.5-22x56 on a FN SPR (.300 WSM), and have no problem w/daylight illumination. But that's a personal thing. The new tactical scope is a 5-25x56 called the Beast. I think it has focal plane reticle.

Vortex 1-6 was cool.

Very happy with mine thus far. (Previous SWFA SS 1-4x and Meopta ZD 1-4x user here)

M...and...P...Ten!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tell me more. I swear I just poured half a cup of coffee on the floor when I saw that.

Sigh now if only HK would release a USP in 10

Yeah, it is a .308 AR, sorry. :)

Bushnell's 1-8.5 was in their booth. It's huge! I think it's a 34 mm tube, massive turrets, same reticles as the 1-6.5. Here's one of the few retailers with it on their website.

Pat, it won't suit you or anyone else that wants daytime bright. Everything inside the exhibit hall looks like illumination is decent. The lighting is poor enough that non-daytime bright scopes look BRIGHT, with blooming reticles.

Bushnell is not billing this scope as daytime bright, I'd say it's the same as the existing 1-6.5 Tacticals, which I've been using since last June and have grown to love.
