dskinsler83
So I have a Bar-Sto Barrel coming for my open build. I am thinking my wife has gotten me a 90 degree SJC mount for my frame and I hope to have the trigger figured out already. So I have a 3rd Gen Frame from my G35 Custom Stipple and Double Undercut Zev Black Ext Mag Release Zev Black Brass Heavy Magwell Zev Fulcrum Trigger Zev SS Striker Safety w/ Spring Zev 2# Striker Spring Zev V4 connector hand polished/stoned Zev V4 striker hand polished/stone Zev Housing w/ OT adjustment for ultra fine adjustment w/ the Fulcrum New Spring Cups/Channel Sleeve Tac Solutions SS G17 slide Bar-Sto Semi-Fit SS barrel ext and threaded So w/ the barrel coming (unknow lead time) and then of course I am sure I will use the C-More (slide ride??) I have a few questions to ask What is the best overal Comp to use that would be great w/ both Major and Minor loads? I am thinking this is mostly gonna see minor loads for the ProAm and SSC. Also what is the size DOT most use and why? I think I will end up using a GHOST holster so it will fit both my 24 and the open gun and the mag pouches will be the same as well. As usual thanks for all the imput guys.
Nimitz
I didn't think compensators worked with minor loads since they don't produce enough gas for the comp to work effectively ...?
dskinsler83
Well I'm talking about a minor load for an open gun a little hotter than factory or 125PF gees. A lil spring change and off you go
dskinsler83
Or just keep it a major load and not worry bout it?
Noximus03
PM me your address and I'll send you a 3-port Carver Comp to experiment with, Dan. I'd offer an opinion on what comp is best for this and that, but I will stay out of it lest I give you a bias POV.
maxpower
I love my carver comp. I think it shoots alot softer than the jager comp i had before, but that is definitely just my opinion. The 8 moa dot for the cmore is what i use

I like the SJC with the c more better but it is a lot harder to install.I like the bigger glass of the c more and I pick it up faster and it sets closer to the bore. the carver is stronger I think and with the delta point it sets closer to the bore than the c more on the same mount(but not as close as the SJC). it installs very easy on gen 3-4,the only down side to the carver is you have to use a mod C R speed holster were as the SJC you can use any good speed holster that is made for a glock. the bad part of the one with the SJC mount is my youngest son shoots this one and he wont let me play with very often. . PhilD
I gave up with my Glock Open, I could never get it to shoot flat enough. I know it can be done, but it was just not to be for me, so I'm trying my luck with an Akai Shogun.

melissa5
What thumb rest is on the sjc mount Melissa That's one of the new large thumb rests from Carver Custom. I was amazed at how much better it was having a thumb rest on the gun. Edited October 20, 2013 by melissa5
