  1. On parts that get hot I normally use Loctite 2620. it is high strength and high heat. Only thing is when removing you normally have to use a map gas torch to get it hot enough to break free.
  2. 100% agree with lead-head. I love my tac30
  3. how is everyone welding there lifter? Are you using a small metal filler piece of just filling the area with weld and grinding it down? I see on some lifters the slot in it is also welded. Why is that?
  4. I think the 41 is cool. A local shop is already calling to order a few. As for the 380 cartridge i think is not ideal but cool that glock is going to offer a small frame single stack pistol.
  5. Wow how did i miss that thread. thank you ChuckS. Have you tried using hs6 in your journey of 40 open? Seems its the powder of choice in 9 major. The reason i ask is a friend that is actually doing the reloading has a couple pounds he said i could have and try.
  6. Ok thank you. I have heard a lot of people using hs6 but some of the threads I have searched though were pretty old so I wasn't sure if there has been another powder that has been found that performs better. For 40 does the shape of the bullet make that much of a difference? Whether it be round or flat nose. Should I look more for the weight or the shape?
  7. I am just starting to reload for my open 40. What powder and bullet does everyone suggest. I have seen everything from 135gn bullets to 200gn bullets being used. I just trying to understand the benefit and disadvantage of each. Any help would be great.
  8. I really like this one. The way the comp flows into the slide is awesome.
  9. i would never think to lay on the top of the box prone, tahts great advise.
  10. You want it attached to the barrel for a fixed reference. Mounted on the handguard, it can be influenced by pressure from a barricade, sling, etc. makes sense. thank you
  11. It took 17 weeks. Not bad considering todays situation. So far I have 1100 rounds thru it and runs perfectly. wow that is not that bad of a wait at all compared to some. I like the look of it alot.
  12. Buy once cry once all that gunsmith work keeping a 930 running could end up costing you more then the m2. Plus let's face it any that can come up with enough for a 930 or three gun in General can skip a few matches a save the ammo money to upgrade to an m2 or however you want to justify it right? Lol, funny math you have there. There aren't many issues the JM requires paid gunsmithing on, and I'd hate to ask what you pay for shotgun shells that a few matches worth of shotgun shells makes up the difference in price between the JM and an M2? Update on my JM Pro. I had RAS go through it, plus some extra stuff done. Was it worth the cost? Yes. I now have a reliable shotgun that loads like a dream, shoots soft, hits where I point it, and I like the feel of. Was it the best plan of action? Only if it's what you have. But with my experience now, even if I ever get an M2, VM, or even a M3000, I'll be visiting Mr. Rose at RAS. What all did he have to do to get it to run? What extras? does it shoot softer now or was it all for reliability?
  13. Thats crazy, good catch. I have a rolling thunder comp and could only imagine what it would feel like putting my hand anywhere near the ports
  14. i love my dd light weight 14.5 barrel on an ar i built for my wife. if only he liked it.. lol
  15. Why not but the sight on the rail? too much movement? im just wondering because I am building a rifle now that has a site on the rail and wondering if I should change before finalizing it.
  16. the added weight of the offset mount is really not that bad. the weight still feels centered when you hold it. I was concerned that it would feel like it wanted to tilt the side of the mount but didn't at all once I installed it.
  17. that gun is awesome. and I was just looking at these handgaurds for a build im doing for my wife.
  18. I love my 930 jm pro. found one while on vacation and decided I had to try it. I have not had any malfunctions at all with this shotgun and I have roughly 500-700 rounds through it not being nice. I know for a fact I would take it over my buddies slp any time.
  19. wow where did you find a versamax for that cheap. that is stealing it. buy two sell one and make 250 bucks now you are at the cost of the stoeger
  20. i like my jager striker. but i have not tried any other brand. just have nothing negative to saty about the jager

    OPEN GLOCKS

I love my carver comp. I think it shoots alot softer than the jager comp i had before, but that is definitely just my opinion. The 8 moa dot for the cmore is what i use
  22. You really need to take your time when installing it. The instructions that sjc gives you says that the easiest way to set the bushings into the frame is to drill a small hole, then heat the metal bushing and push it into the frame. Well when me and my friend did that the bushing didnt go in straight. So i then had to repair the frame which was no fun. I found it much easier to just drill the hole small then file till it was a snug fit. Also figuring out where to drill the initial holes in the frame are sort of interpretive. I think sjc and carver will install the mount for 50-60 bucks and with the trouble i had i would almost justify the price.
