Hydrographic printing first attempt

This was my very first attempt to print patterns on an AR15 reciever set

You learn a bunch on the first time out :roflol:

I chose a snake skin pattern over two base coats, one in silver...one in a brown/gold metalic

These pics are without the top clear coat...and they have some flaws :(

Oh well...good enough for a test rifle for ME :goof:

Comments, good or bad are welcome :D

I like it. How do you get both sides? Are they done at separate times or all at once ?

First try was both sides at once..the film didnt exactly cooperate :roflol:

Masking and printing one side at a time seems to be the better way, the film will over print

getting ready to clear coat

Yes my picfu is weak Grasshopper :roflol:

After clear...hurry up and dry!!!! I have no patience to watch paint dry :roflol:

Thanks! Much better! Those first pics were making me dizzier than usual :)

BTW, that bike...it reminds me of a CL77 I had.

Sweetheart....I told you it works much better when you hit the macro button.

But, if you are closer than 4 inches you need to hit it again for super macro.

Nice pics nice finish....but the shop stinks.

Is this where we can make jokes about Jim being used to using things under 4 inches?
