  1. now this is an idea. If you see me with a new safe that’s full, mind your business lol.
  2. So I took the night looking and felt like a total tool. I was so strung out on finding a 5” set up I didn’t consider a 4.7”. I haven’t heard to many people not happy with the AC. Interesting to hear.
  3. This is a “me” problem and not a gear problem but it’s just a different view point to consider. I shot half a match with an occluded dot. It was going great actually. I figured it was my new thing. All until it wasn’t. I lost the dot and had a hell of a time getting it back. Not sure why honestly. I think it had a lot to do with the pressure of the match and a slight “panic”. Thinking crap, how am I going get this dot back. not at all saying that covers don’t help, but it needs to be practiced like anything else. the smaller vs larger widow and dot may be a thing to consider but I would personally have to improve my indexing a little more.
  4. Welcome. I just visited Arizona last week and man is it beautiful there.
  5. It’s definitely easy to miss a target to paste or forget to set something up. Luckily I haven’t had this happen to be bud have seen it happen. Worst for me was a plate rack wasn’t set back up. We were only using two of the six plates and they were slightly hidden depending where you stood on the course. Once they came into view after the first three targets I stopped and the RO saw the rack. Luckily this was at a class and I got a little free extra practice.
  6. Also, is that a 4.7” barrel or a 5” barrel. So for all the questions. Not at all trying to jack the post.
  7. I’ve been having a hell of a time finding out and eventually gave up. Maybe I just looked in all the wrong spots. that was my goal to have a limited gun and a CO gun
  8. I have all my factory 17 rounders with TTI plus 5s. They work fine but I mainly run the 21s. I personally find that I grab them better. So if at all possible I start with a 17 and reload with a 21. Maybe it’s stupid but it’s me

    DPP to X5

I’m in the lower ball park of 4,000ish rounds and no issues. I did spend a lot of time smacking it too trying to figure out what method of unloaded starts I like to play with. No issues
  10. But where could one find a .40 top end or conversion kit

    New 320 build

You could always build a pretty sweet limited gun in minor. There’s a guy on IG, not sure if he’s here, but he built a limited major gun. Found a .40 barrel and she’s running like a top it seems. I’d love to do that.
  12. I just got 1000/$59.99 for federal SPP. however, idk if they will ever drop to “normal” prices again. as mentioned though, it was nice to be able to buy all components at the same time without having to fight off a heard lol
  13. I have a set of the GFDS steel challenge targets. It comes labeled as to which stage they go to and there’s a card to get the measurements for a “realistic” stages. Obviously a smaller target doesn’t translate to a deeper target 100% but it’s close. I like them. however, don’t put them on a wall with flat paint. I did my GFDS USPSA targets at our new house and either left them up to long or our paint sucks. Peeled the wall. I’m going with the second option as other things have messed our walls up. They worked great on our old house with semigloss paint.
  14. I got a set of Axil ear pro a couple months ago and enjoy them. I have used them at matches, one 8 hour class, cutting the grass, and going on runs. I would say the MSRP of $200 is a little high but with the sales they have, not so bad. I think they were 45% off when I got mine. For that price, you’re looking at quality headphones for music but get the advantage of shooting too.
  15. I’ve have a number 3 top with a medium skin fade since ‘09. Finally switched over to the traditional WO combover hahahahaha.

    P320 grip work

Honestly, I’m a personal fan of the talon. It does it’s job and is cheap. If I ever get around to a back up gun, I’ll try SC. However, I held (didn’t shoot) a TXG frame that was shipped off to frank castle gun works and it was really nice. But steep at $250 when I got my quote.
  17. We couldn’t have asked for a more deserving guy!

    320 Mags

I have both 17 and 21 with accommodating Taran base pads. The 17s (for me) needed to be fitted to pass the gauge. The 21s did not. I’ll be trying the Jennings next. at far as the TTI pads go for removing, it’s pretty straight forward and easy. If you push the follower down a little until the coil clears the tube, it makes it easier and doesn’t bend the spring nearly as much.
  19. So to share the love (sorry it’s late but maybe it’ll help you or someone in the future) if you’re mil/Leo then you can buy vortex through expertvoice.com and save a ton.
  20. I’ve only seen something similar to this once, and no where near as bad. It was cracked on the bottom side of the frame inside the trigger guard. But that was after 6,000 rounds if I remember correctly. Sig also replaced his without hesitation.
  21. Using a banana is not above me lol. I took a ten year break from shooting and finally got back into it this year and having a blast. Damn sure don’t want to lose the effort I’ve put in this year. Bring on the goofy looks lol
  22. No. I wish though. They were fun. that’s pretty cool you got to shoot internationally.
  23. Mods, please relocate if there’s a better area or another post related to this. I couldn’t find one. Thank you very much. So I have a question for the folks that their work takes them to locations where they can’t train well. Long story short, I’ll be leaving for about five months and won’t be able to take a firearm with me. So no live fire or dry firing. I can bring some dry fire targets and at bare minimum shadow them as if I were walking a stage but after that im out of ideas. I considered ordering something like this… https://nextleveltraining.com/product/sirt-20/ that way I can somewhat dry fire. I shoot a x5 in CO so this is close-ish. Im open to any and all recommendations y’all may have to help me and others in similar positions not fall far behind the power curve. Thank you!
