  1. Well I shanked a Delta off into one of my new furring strips today. Maybe I should start stapling replacement dollar bills to them once I shoot it as a reminder haha
  2. Ooof. Defiantly waiting till the gauges come in before sealing the deal then hahah thank you!!!
  3. So. If it were a headspace issue. Simple solution would be to shim the barrel one way or another depending on how it gauges correct. Now I’m second guessing myself
  4. If by easy, you mean having to use two hands on a good round and banging it against my tailgate on others… sure.
  5. You’re not wrong there. Honestly, I placed a large order with different ammo and this was my first bad experience. I’ve shot north of 5k freedom rounds but mostly just plinking. This year, getting back into USPSA, I had numerous failures. So I’m not to far off of adding this to that list. Haven’t bought from them since that last order and moved onto another brand. I have some snap caps that will be in Tuesday that may be able to help me isolate the issue.
  6. I’ll order a go no-go gauge tonight I guess. Really didn’t think I’d need it. But it doesn’t hurt for $70 I guess
  7. I don’t think you’ll be upset that your purchased it then. No one need a roll pin starter or a takedown installation tool but they make life a lot better. I think you’ll feel the same about this.
  8. So initially I thought it was a gas issue. But I’m leaning away from it now. I chambered a round and had the same issues of the bolt sticking. No firing. Just chambering and clearing. it’s new freedom ammo. I have some other brands, just not with me.
  9. I can say I did mine without a block. However, having one may have made it easier. If I do another I will buy it this time. It was my first time so I’m sure that didn’t help but it can’t hurt… other than the wallet a touch
  10. This may be premature but it’s really bugging me. I have an AR10 I built and finally got to zero it today. It did not go as planned. It won’t cycle at all. Bellow is a list of parts for reference: aero upper receiver rainer arms ultra match 20” barrel SiCo muzzle brake aero bolt raptor CH salient arms adj gas block (forgot the Allen wrench to adjust) Lower is an Aero pre-built lower ammo today was freedom munitions 168Gr hornady A-max (I know. Not the best. Don’t kill me) was running a Omega 36m can. so while shooting, it fired fine. However, there was zero movement of the bolt. I thought I didn’t seat the mag well but still no luck. Trying to manipulate the CH was work. Felt like a bulged case was stuck but all the cases look good minus two small parallel scratches on the neck. Every case has it. Sometimes it was easy to rack the CH. sometimes I had to beat the rifle. I was hoping it was a gas issue but that doesn’t seem to be the case. Any direction would be greatly appreciated before I start really digging into it. Thank you.
  11. Hahahahah. Yea they are kiln SURFACE dried
  12. It was when I took apart the second one I saw my mistake. I was trying to figure it out without the tube haha
  13. I’ve seen some that look like they will work better than some propellers on boats worst is when you got to a lumber yard and they load your trailer up with banded lumber. I got a pressure treated 2x6 that was more bark than wood
  14. Wait just a minute. Your hardware store discounts blemished 2x4s??? Mine just piles all the crap ones on top of the good ones to the point you don’t even want to dig through them
  15. Arguably, dewalt isn’t the cheapest brand either hahaha. I wouldn’t go nuts. I already do on enough things haha
  16. Maybe this is news to everyone else but I figured I’d share my experience to potentially help someone else out. a while back I decided to be a genius and lube up my striker assembly. Then I started having failure to fires. Got on here and was told I was messing up. fast forward to today, the wife and kids were all gone and I’m about to go practice this weekend I thought I’d scrub it down. Tore it all apart (first time really) and cleaned everything off and cleaned the channel it rides it. Go to put it back together and the slide won’t go all the way back. Everything looked to be good. Took it apart again, put back together, same issue. Took my 320c apart to compare the two and for the most part, it looks good. the safety lock fell out of its channel and wouldn’t allow it to ride up and down. Causing my issue. Long story short, make sure that’s good before you put it back together and don’t loose that little spring in the process hope this saves 30 minutes for someone else out there lol. Happy new years
  17. Don’t give me a reason to buy a table saw lol. Been eyeing one for a while now. Wife even wants me to get one because then she can ask for more projects
  18. As mentioned before, I doubt it being dirty has much to do with it. Unless it’s just a filth pile. I’ve had my my x5 pretty dirty and the only issue I ever had was when I switched lubes and the striker didn’t like it (thanks to the ones here that helped me figure that out). my 320c got FILTHY!!! If I remember correctly, I was near 2,000 rounds before cleaning. Just to see if I would have any failures. I didn’t. I just got tired of a dirty gun lol.
  19. That’s pretty much exactly why I kept the short sticks. I figured some wood glue and unloading on it with the brad nailer should do the trick. At least for a few practice sessions
  20. Defiantly understand ya. I have two small debt collectors, I mean kids, and they run my pockets dry.
  21. No kidding! Making 30 cuts to turn 8’ sticks into 5’ ones really sucked when you look at the pile of 3’ chopsticks
  22. Not to stray to far away from the original topic, I agree for the most part. If I was rich, I’d 100% jump into LO head first. But I’m not. So I’ll be spending $400 on a new grip and giant magwell and continue saving for an open gun lol
  23. It’s bad enough I kept my scrap 1x2s so I can piece them together if needed. Shooting is already expensive enough lol
  24. See. That’s what I had planned on doing but steel is apparently worth its weight in gold right now. Couple weeks ago steel stock was $48 for a 4’ stick at TSC. I haven’t gone to my “local” metal store as it’s an hour away in a direction I normally don’t travel
