  1. If anyone has an sig with a Odin armory thumb rest, Hell Fighter holster did a great job accommodating me.
  2. Do you have many at your local? Just curious because we have a ton. Obviously most are in CO but some in limited and open as well. I’d imagine some regions drift towards certain platforms more than others but couldn’t begin to imagine what and where.
  3. Yesterday I shot much better with a buddy of mine rather than squading with my local range heat and trying to chase them. Next weekend, I’m in the same boat at our normal local so it’ll be nice to see how it works out.
  4. I could be in the wrong here, but I’ve gone 18 ft/lbs on almost everything optic related. When I looked at various scope rings/mounts that I have and dots, 18lbs was on the low end of the scale. I marked them with a paint marker to see if they ever back out. They haven’t yet. If they ever do, ill go a little tighter
  5. Much better than finding a new one on your property still getting use.

    Too much?

I’m in a slightly similar situation. I got used to one grip style using a totally different thumb rest and this one is simply different. however, I just took a class and it was pointed out that I use the thumb rest too much and let my support hand lose it’s grip. So I’ve been taking this time while I wait to practice without a thumb rest and building my support hand grip again. The hope is to add the new Odin and have the best of both worlds and shoot better. Time will tell though.

A lot or a little, you made it look good. I know for me it’s a lot of “I have ten minutes free to knock out this hour job” and it ends up not being the prettiest. If it works it works

Yes! Take and steep deeper into poor open with us hahahah.
  9. If it makes you feel any better my buddy has a max holster, he really likes it by the way, and chopped a HUGE section out of it to fit a thumb rest. Still works fine and still can adjust retention. Just a little ugly now lol

I was leaning on it. But I had some hesitations. I wasn’t sure if it was rebuildable or how hard it would be. What if it failed in me at a match? Could it snag? I just didn’t have the warm and fuzzy without seeing one in person. this one seemed straight forward and I liked the thumb shield. I’ve had my thumb ride the slide a time or two rushing. I don’t think it was enough to really effect slide speed all to much but I noticed it.

@Rich406any issues with that T-1000 with the Odin? I just ordered one to try out to make sure the butt of the gun wasn’t to far out or high/low

He made a post a while back about it on IG. said he had 15 hours of labor into it and wasn’t done yet. Idk how he tracks his hours or what all the process is to begin with. So I won’t say it’s far from accurate or not but he did say it was being priced according to hours spent on the job. HF ran me $135 I believe which is comparable to many other quality holsters IMO.

To be fair, I only do I because I went months practicing hard and never practiced with my carry platform. Then I grabbed it one night and felt completely lost holding it. It shocked me a lot and made me realize I wasn’t doing myself justice.
  14. Well I can tell you only half fits in my media tumbler hahaha
  15. Found a couple of these while cleaning out the garage. How many do you think will fit in a 7L wet tumbler???
  16. I took a class with David Wampler and Kevin G and had some drills dedicated to working on transitions. They seemed very beneficial. Live fire: start position gun pointed at target. At the beep, fire one round and transition to the second target and fire one round. this kept round count low and showed that we need to transition during the recoil rather than looking for the third confirmation sight picture. dry fire was the same minus shooting to work the eyes. we then moved to two rounds each and started to make it more advanced incorporating “bar hop” and adding targets with movement (two targets, move, two targets). They also changed it up with a partial target and open or steel to open to work on attack/control targets. with all of this being said, I feel as if my transitions have gotten better. Trusting my shot calls more and moving quicker to the next target. Two close opens and my strings sound more like a string of four with good hits rather than pop, pop……….. pop, pop. They also mentioned trying the Hopkins drill. Hope I explained this well enough to make sense.
  17. Seems to be a trend here for the most part. I’m a C class and normally end up with a few guys that’s A and up. My scores show that the one time I squaded with people in the C/B range I did better. I can’t say I’ve ever paid attention as to why but I could see myself “rushing” and making poor choices.

Odin is making a lefty version. Lol. I know what you mean about wanting to keep match guns and work guns similar. I tried that… then fell down the rabbit hole and I can’t find the top again hahahah. That’s why I went with an sig to begin with. Now I have to practice with my competition rig and then finish with my carry so my thumb remember where to go

So my Odin just came in and I honestly like the fell. Granted that’s in dry fire from no holster as mine doesn’t work. I just ordered a hell fighter holster that is supposed to work. I believe they are working with Odin as a “partner” thing. I could be wrong though. A buddy of mine said he got his RHT to work with a little dremel work and damn near taking the screws out. I couldn’t. with that being said, hopefully I’ll be able to give it a full try in three weeks. RHT did say they could do it but it would run about $250.
  20. Jagerwerks is having a Black Friday deal hahaha. I just got mine back a month or so ago and they did a great job.
  21. Happy thanksgiving everyone. May y’all have an amazing day with friends and loved one.
  22. If it means anything to you, I sent out an email to sig asking about the x-change kits as I’ve never used one before. Specifically, if you have a x5 legion and want to run a .357 slide then go for it. But I only asked about the complete upper. The pressure differences wont play any effect. Hope that helps in any way
  23. My buddy just won a local rocking a .357. No comp, no peddle, no race holster. I slightly want to steal his style and get me a .357 slide.
