  1. This is very interesting to see everyone’s setup. since I’m getting all new, I decided to get into CO with a x5 legion since I carried a p320 with x series grip. Currently, a 509C as I’m sending the P320 slide to get milled. I may entertain getting a x carry legion for a new carry platform down the line. my personal goal was to have as close to matching platforms.
  2. This is good to know as I just purchased two aero uppers to get into the PCC world. Just curious, are you running aero upper and lower?
  3. I know everyone is different, but a good friend of mine suffered from this as well. It hindered him in his career. He swore that nothing helped and he just pushed through it. However, he switched to Hoka shoes and he swore by them. Said it was night and day. I obviously can’t give you a great take on it as it’s second hand, but it may be worth a look. Best of luck.
  4. Little late to the thread, but I just had a really good experience with liquid IV as a couple others have mentioned. In August, I was at ft Rucker, Alabama for school. Needless to say, it was hot hot. Throughout the days that there wasn’t much physically demanding events, water worked fine. But I did see a lot of people fall out of runs and rucks because they were not prepared on the day prior to the long runs or ruck marches, I would drink two Liquid IV packs. The day of the event, I put one in my camelbak. It worked well for me. I felt hydrated through the course of the events and never felt “weak” or “shaky”. The bit of sweetness was a nice booster too. I would feel confident that it would work in the conditions that you mentioned in addition to you already taking steps to stay on top of your health.
  5. I think I had most of what you meant. I defiantly understand what you mean by not understanding the percentage. I’m “new” at dry fire. This is the first time I’ve ever actually trained with a goal in mind vs just conduct movements. Having a timer actually helps come to find out. I’ve been finding myself struggling with my support hand a lot as I’m trying to untrain my hand to go with my index on the trigger guard and go back under it. Finding inconsistencies or I hit my mark but super soft and overshoot my par time. I’m starting to cut back to simple 15-20 minute sessions. After watching some videos of myself, I found anything after 30 minutes, I was just going through motions and was just beating up equipment.
  6. Thank you very much for the information. Take care and happy New Years.
  7. Out of curiosity, is this the “dry fire reloaded” book on Ben’s site? It’s in my cart currently as I’ve been trying to research different books to grab. not trying to steal the thread, just clarifying the exact book. Thank you
  8. Anytime. I’ll probably place my order here soon. I really want to step up my dry fire game to targets vs random items in my garage hahahaha
  9. Happy New Years y’all. Hope every has a great evening and blessed new year. How are y’all ending and starting the new year? I ended mine zeroing a new scope with my father in law before the rain rolled in and tomorrow I hope to zero my Garand with the wife. stay safe and best of luck for 2022
  10. I have the same issues. I may have to work in the support hand only shooting as mentioned above. I’m at a point where after 45-60 minutes of dry fire, I’m noticeably tired in the grip department.
  11. “Go fast don’t suck” has stickers for sale. I believe $30. I haven’t tried them yet but apparently they are the “reusable stickers”. Something I stumbled across on IG. When I looked last time they have USPSA packs and steel challenge packs.
  12. Good morning. When I started shooting Limited years ago, I never practiced. My matches were my practice. I still had a blast but I never got any better. I was actually just watching some old videos and everything is just wrong. Posture, sight picture, my movements, all of it. Now getting back into it, I’m going to practice much more. Just my two cents but I hope it helps give some perspective. Best wishes
  13. Good morning MHicks. I hear ya. I just went down the “rush it” road before. Don’t want to make that mistake again. But actually getting ready to run a few basic drills after breakfast. We will see how these transitions and reloads go. Take care!
