  1. You’re not wrong there lol. I saw a post on IG earlier of a smith building an open gun that came with a complete LO ready slide assembly. That man was speaking to my soul haha
  2. I had the 32 and switch to the 64. No reason other than I had to buy another one. But like mentioned above, it’s not needed. Only difference is I can record pretty much my whole practice session and review it.
  3. I shot freedom for a long time. Mainly because of price. But recently I’ve have three total failures out of one batch of 1,000. This steered me towards 2A ammo. So far so good. I’ll be doing a side by side with 2A, outdoor dynamics, stand 1, and AA. It’s just to dang cold right now. I also have to link up with someone with a chrono
  4. Id have to say these are good for anyone that is tinkering with firearms. I can’t tell you how many roll pins I’ve lost or mushroomed on gas blocks or trigger guards building rifles. Buying the right tool for the job may suck at the time but totally worth it.
  5. That’s outstanding to hear. I greatly appreciate your feedback.
  6. I hear you. 8-10 weeks really isn’t bad at all. I mean I waited 8 weeks for a slide to be milled and coated for a dot and window cuts. So building an entire gun in that time seems reasonable hahaha. of course I don’t want to spend a ton but I also do want to cheap out and cry later. Not saying the used ones here are that at all. Nice to think that I may even get a chance to close the season off in open if I play my cards right
  7. I will say, the first thing I said to him was that I’m shopping around and still saving. I really don’t want to toss it on a credit card as it’s a hobby and we just finished Christmas. He answered all the questions I had at the time thoroughly. I’ve had other give me quick answers that made me feel like if I wasn’t spending money right away, they have to move on. And I understand. If you don’t mind me asking, did he estimate a build time?

I have a spare 320c. I may toss a comp on there for SC. Why not lol.
  9. They look very nice and I would bet awesome to shoot. But that price tag is just wild. Not saying it is or isn’t worth it, just really hard to justify.
  10. There was a post here a while back stating someone was oiling their honcho between stages. That seems insane to me. To remove the racker, tear down, oil, reassemble. Too much work. Plus I torque everything so that would just be more tools to bring.

I’m digging the collection! Seeing pictures like this makes me want to toss a comp on a 320 and just play in open. So bad.
  12. As someone looking to get into Open, I looked at the Honcho heavily. Still look at it honestly because the sale price seems to be very reasonable. My buddy has one that he is going to let me shoot to see how I like it once we can match our schedules. I will say, for me, the proprietary parts somewhat make me nervous. Not sure how much that would exactly effect anything but it's a consideration of mine. Which is why I haven't jumped on one just yet.
  13. Thank you for that. I did a search, but it pulled up zero results. I spoke to him a little bit and he did seem like a good person to work with. but same issue I had as the other post, no real review from the community. Thanks again!
  14. Has anyone heard of or better yet shot a defions arms open gun? Talked to the owner a touch and seems to be a reasonable person. Prices seem to be very reasonable at about $5,000. About $6500 for an open gun with a spare RDS slide for LO. I do believe you get what you pay for but at the same time, I don’t foresee me “needing” a $9,000 gun to not go to nationals. This is still just a fun sport for me. Any input would be greatly appreciated. I will state that I’m not done shopping around. I’d like to reach out to venom customs as well, maybe Try to find a used v1 chaos, and D2C.
  15. I started using “fat grips” at the gym for a lot of my lifts. That and switched up my deadlifts to a double overhand grip. Can’t say it’s helping yet as it’s a new thing but I hope it helps. i tried COC grip trainers but I end up never using them. I do keep one in the truck in the cup holder and use it from time to time while at stop lights. It’s more to feel like I didn’t waste the money lol
  16. I can say, I’ll be getting classified in it. I won’t be buying a new gun for it though. If it turns out to be a blast, then I’ll consider it. But I don’t think (for me) the tool is what’s hindering my performance.

Limited Optics. It’s a provisional division. Little bit of carry optics. Little bit of limited. Still no comps lol

I’ll be one of them. Because the next 2011 will have a big ole comp on it and a dot that doesn’t go back and forth

Oh come oooonnnnnn! All the real cool kids shoot CO in LO. Hahaha. Yes. I’m just jealous I don’t have an atlas yet

I’m picking up a spare x5 (non legion) with that x carry. It’ll 100% get a AXG frame and grips. I’ve been wanting to try it out and nows my chance. I’ll turn which ever I like least into the backup.
  21. Yesterday, I set everything up. Had it on pro mode, ready to go. I get back home and it was all shot in the regular configuration luckily, it still looks good but it would have been nice. Clearly it’s user error for my situation
  22. It does take a little more effort than one would this. I was under the impression it was a “tap” that fixes it. I was sadly mistaken lol.

Ooof. You’re right. Fingers typed before brain thunk. Lol.
  24. Every time I talk myself out of an atlas I see one and want it all over again lol
  25. That dwx has been peaking my interests a lot. Looks awesome.
