I have several MBX and about half of them seem to have issues when I get down to only four rounds in the magazine. Not sure what dimension is off, but it runs great until there's four left and all the spring tension seems to go away. After knocking the round out, the last 3 feed fine again. I assume it has something to do withe the area where the double stack goes to single or maybe something is catching the follower at that point, but I can't seem to get it right yet. My STI gen 2 and atlas videos have been the ticket for me.
I have the same issue with that spot. Trying to get over it by tweaking my grip slightly. If that doesn’t do it, I’ll go back to my other guns which would be a shame because I like everything else about the X5. I asked phil strader about it at shot. He said the xcompact doesn’t have it but there are no plans to get rid of it on the other models because there are very few complaints about it. He said it’s a cosmetic thing to make the high bore axis look less extreme.
Like what? I have two atlas open guns along with their magazines and several accessories. I haven't had an issue with anything and they were easy to talk to the couple of times I've had questions. No trying to argue with you, just wondering what has happened?
You’re most likely looking at carry optics division. Most common guns are Sig X5, Glocks (milled or MOS), M&P, CZ’s, Walther Q5 match, or any other da/SA or striker gun with a dovetail mount if you really want to go that route.
Just spoke todillin reps at shotshoe. They linkage is different and the base of the machine is larger/thicker for more strength. He said the machine runs a little more smoothly. The spring retention at the primer station is compatible with current 1050’s if you want it. There is also a set screw to limit the distance the primer slide moves (which original 1050s had). That’s all the new features the rep mentioned.
And they removed the damn ridged from the top/back of the frame that digs into my thumb when I grip the X5. Hopefully the new slide cut and lack of ridges makes its way to the X5 at some point.
