  1. I have ran over 150,000 CCI primers in the last 2 years. Most through Sprinfield xd and xdm pistols and over 50,000 through a Sig Sauer Max 1911 and a STI Edge. I am using a hornady lnl press and have only had 3 failures. Triggers on edge and Max are set at 1 pound 12 oz. Springfield Armory at 3 pounds. Winchester is softer, but it hasn't made A difference in my guns.
  2. I couldn't agree more. This "green" thing has made life difficult. Good luck and ask them to coat the new wires with hot pepper sauce. Lol
  3. And I assume your truck insurance doesn't cover that. I hate to hear that. May be time for a pet snake.
  4. Thanks for the drill. We have been practicing making the transitions a lot of different ways, but this drill is awesome! It is definitely hard to get used to for myself (bad habits I guess), but my son and I are seeing good improvement. Again thank you.
  5. Pro chrono from midway usa is cheap enough for a chrono and is more than worth the money.
  6. Welcome to the sport and forum! I also commend you for your patriotism and service! USPSA is a great way to have good, clean fun, and meet some of the best folks in the country! ??
  7. Pushing hard is for practice, shoot matches subconsciously!
  8. Haven't met him. I believe Rodney May is who told me that first. I like your saying as well.
  9. Very cool ! That's a lot of patience waiting, but it looks like it would be worth every penny and day! Enjoy!!
  10. Wiseman: Knowing what to do with the knowledge you already obtain, and actually putting it to use.
  11. Pics already! Suspense is killer
  12. Does it still mean that a club cannot shoot the same classifier in a 12 month period? That would be a limit.
  13. You should see this one in action! He is a ball. He spent 6months training with that gun prior to being in a match and is a tremendous listener. As far as slowing things down, his squad is never the last to finish the match.
  14. My son started out in our preparation with a .22 handgun, we never shot it in a match. I had never thought to ask, so he waited until he could handle the 9mm. Our range does currently have 2 young kids, ages 6 and 9, that we let shoot .22 in the match and the RO just calls the hits on steel. It is a great learning experience for them and they sometimes travel to level 2 matches with the excitement of knowing that if they exhibit good safety and when they can handle the larger caliber they will be rewarded with the scores and op for the level 2 matches as well. PCC is also a viable option for youngsters once they are strong enough to hold it up. Let's make sure guns are enjoyed properly by the next generations so that they can participate in this great sport as well as we have.
  15. Practice, practice, practice. Watch the Seeklander videos, and some of the other pros like Keonig, Tomasie, Michel Jr. Make sure you are setting your gear up exactly in the same spot every time, of it will also throw you off in getting the grip early.
  16. Make "A" class, help my 12 year old win high junior in his division at Area 6 Championship Improve dry fire training Enjoy watching my 12 year old grow as a competitor Find a way to shoot more and work less!
  17. Make the reload and then haul booty! DQ's are not fun for the shooter or the RO!
  18. Right on Sarge! The shooter has to be in ready condition before the RO is to proceed with the "Standby" command.
  19. Thanks for the information! It has fixed all that glock brass !! By far the only solution when the lee u die doesn't get it all!
  20. Welcome folks! Lots of great info here!
  21. Pics please. My son is shooting single stack and I would like to get him some better mag pouches. He is toting 6 mags on the belt. He shoots a Sig max in .40 using the extended base pads
