  1. Just looked at the site. Everything is at closeout. Very economical! It shouldn't last long. Still hate to see a company close.

Great question, cant wait to see the results. I have been drooling over the Q5 for a while now.
  3. Dawson Precision still has a couple! Now they have a special bond. Would be terrible not to shoot that !
  4. Try contacting shooting usa or rob leatham. I bet he has worn a few out.
  5. If you buy a new glock, get aftermarket barrel to dodge the bulged brass, bolt on a mag well, some new sites, trigger kit, etc... You can buy a 2011 . Simple economics. It's like trying to turn a Sal's ear into a silk purse. Plenty of 2011 on here for cheap. Sell your 19 and use the money to buy what you want. Besides spending money on a brand of gun you already dislike will make you unhappy when you come to the realization that you will have to sell it for half of what you put into it.
  6. We have certified ROs in more quantity than squads at our club. If it is a distraction then bring it up to the ROs attention, if it isn't handled sufficiently then the RM or MD. We, myself included, heckle with each other very regular, but not to the active shooter or while anyone else is shooting. Plenty of time between shooters and stages for it.
  7. Requesting a different squad is probably the easiest solution. I have learned to tune out everything in the back ground, but if I were asked as RO go hush the crowd by the shooter on deck, I would oblige. This sport draws some of the most courteous people on the planet. Yes there are some rotten apples, but for the most part they don't try or want to be rude. If you haven't been shooting with those folks for any extended amount of time they may just be, being themselves and may not mind the request to be extra quiet for another shooter.
  8. ? that's what the secret is. I knew it wasn't my shooting, but now all I need is a different color bullet.
  9. I change my buff once every 3 matches and always right before a major match. Sometimes after a long live fire practice. I haven't let one " wear out" so I don't know an approximate round count. They are cheap enough in the bulk packs I just don't try to max their life cycle.
  10. We hadn't had a new rule book since 2014. USPSA has added 2 divisions since and changed a lot of rules. At some point the rules should stop being amended and a single new book printed. ROs all the way up to the match directors need a single source to make rulings from. Just set a schedule to print a new book every 3-4 years and 0 rule changes go into affect until the new book has been released. This is getting out of hand and slowing the process down.
  11. JJ Racarza has a great you tube video showing how to ride the recoil to the next target.
  12. Rob Leatham has a you tube video about that. Great tip!
  13. Dave Dawson actually steered me to the Edge as well as some GM shooters. The DVC is lighter supposedly cycles faster, my logic is that my reaction time will not allow the benefit of a couple thousanths of a second in cycle time to benefit me. The small amount of extra weight the Edge has does allow me to shoot with less felt recoil however. I actually started USPSA in .45 acp limited with a Springfield Armory so dropping to a .40 in a 2011 was easy. I have not even shot the 9mm in a 1911/2011 platform.
  14. Have you always shot 9mm in a 1911/2011 platform? Are you going to be reloading? The gun itself is fine, but I still prefer the Edge over the DVC for limited division. The .40 with a turned set up (proper balance between recoil and main springs) will shoot just as flat or flatter than any polymer 9mm. If you reload the ammo, the price difference is negligible. If you are wanting to do minimal mods and are comfortable doing you own trigger work then order a CRP version through Dawson Precision.
  15. We will keep the family in prayer. May God give peace to them.
  16. There are several ways of getting a 2011 for that $2,000 ish budget. The classifieds here, Dawson Precision, gun broker, etc. You may even be able to borrow some mags from a fellow club member. I was given the opportunity to use a gun and mags and even had a fellow club member threaten to buy a 2011 for me until I could pay him back(great man!). It all boils down to the old adage " where their is a will, there is a way". Thanks for your service and good luck in your 2011 hunt
  17. This will be my son's first national and he is 12, so we will be there, but it sounds like there are still some important specifics to be ironed out for sure.
  18. I agree! Having 6 classifier stages at a match that costs so much in travel and match fees is a bit over the top. Balance is fine but if these turn out go be standing still typical classifiers it will be a little unbalanced.
  19. Not a Facebooker, thanks though. The classifier thing was what was sounding crazy, but I can see it as a good venue to hatch new ones, but 33% of the match is still a wow factor.
  20. Okay, so new classifiers are hatching. Thanks for clearing that up.
