  1. Thanks we have a code for my son. Thanks Bill
  2. Wow! That is crazy! I guess those professional sandbaggers will finally get caught tho. It's still not that much bang for the buck. How many total stages?
  3. We haven't found a way in yet. Practice score says "closed". I must be ovef looking something. And thanks for taking the SC position!
  4. .? Classifier Nationals- Please define this and someone explain if stages will change and if so how and when.
  5. Is this the long awaited Travis Tomasie gun?
  6. If you are trying to get rid of the " glock" bulge using the lee undersize die for recapping and sizing is the better option. I personally have used both and occasionally still have some stubborn brass. But I fix it using the Redding gx carbide push through die. I am privileged to get a heads up from the police chief on qualifing days and about 40 % of my brass comes from their range. I really have great experiences using the lee dies.
  7. Yep the gen 2 actually have G25 on the follower. Fortunately i have 12 MBX mags and never experienced a problem other than replacing worn springs. It always amazes me on how short attention spans are amongst people. Why even respond to an email if you don't have the time to read it entirely. I would be upset with them also.
  8. I personally find the ambi a safer choice for shooting weak hand. 1. I don't have to turn the safety off until I have full grip & control with my weak hand. (Less likely to AD) 2. When shooting I can have the exact same grip shooting weak hand as I do shooting strong hand. I only shoot USPSA so I don't worry about stashing the gun during a course of fire like the 3 gunners do.
  9. I am not one but I can PM you the email of one

    AD?

Intentions are not subject to any USPSA rule. RO's cannot read the mind, they can just enforce the black & white. If the shot went further than 10 feet and stayed inside the berms and was not moving, or reloading, then you cannot issue a DQ.
  11. That's why I buy in 8lb jugs. You should be good to go though. It seems to be gaining popularity also.
  12. I do not reload .223. I can buy in bulk for as little as .24 per round and sell the brass. (PMC bronze). By the time i sell the brass there is no way it is worth my time to reload .223. Use that time reloading pistol and make a lot of bullets!
  13. A lot of the "draw" time is also in how your equipment is set up. Always remember to obey the rules per division for equipment but maximizing your set up for easier access to the gun and magazines helps tremendously in reducing the amount of movement required. Another thing is to try different techniques. For example Max Michele Jr and Doug Koenig both have very fast draws, but use slightly different techniques. I was stuck with a live fire on an 8 inch plate at 10 yards draw time of .90 until I learned which technique best suited me, and tweaked my holster. Shooting limited in a match a couple weeks ago, was a stage with 1 metric target covered by 3 no shoots leaving the center A zone available. It was a 1 shot stage and i managed a center A hit in .68. The mental game is great and a very important key, but don't forget the physical preparation in both equipment and technique. Max Michele Jr, Travis Tomasie, Doug Koenig, Mike Seeklander, etc. all have great you tube videos showing their technique and each one varies but watch, try, tweak, and succeed!
  14. Make sure your just flaring enough to start the bullet.
  15. +1 for Lucas products. Sig Sauer uses them in their manufacture process.
  16. In a recent chrono test I loaded xtreme plated , bbi coated , and blue bullets. All loaded to same length, same charge. Xtreme were an average of 40 fps slower than the bbi, which were slower than the blues at 35 fps . Coated bullets are generally faster, just as accurate, just as clean, and lots cheaper.
  17. I use both ramshot competition and zip for 45. Both are great and fairly clean. Plenty of load data available for them too.
  18. My single stack came with a factory installed Dawson Ice magwell. They are legal in single stack. Tim is very good and his new Atlas has a magwell too.
  19. I used to drive my wife crazy, by watching TV and sitting next to her doing reload after reload lol. It will come and you will see great benefits. You can shave lots of time off the clock without shooting faster. Max Michele has a you tube video where he discusses that very point. It's a game of efficiency. Those stages that require reloads from a standing still position will be where you will gain the most, but if you are really good at reloading, the faster you can make your transition from one position to the next. Faster draws are also high priority. I have a good friend that shoots open division and I can smoke him on those two things and on those stages that have mandatory reloads I can almost always come out the winner shooting single stack. Keep up the hard work and it will pay off, but remember to have fun first and foremost. God Bless!
  20. Travis Tomasie has one of the smoothest reloads and plenty of you tube videos to watch. From what I see other than what has already been pointed out, you are not using your fingers correctly to grab the mag. Your index finger should be the only finger leading the front of the mag. It looked as though you were sometimes letting your first 2 fingers lead but both were not pointed in the same direction. Practice, practice, practice.
  21. Another vote for MBX! I have had 12 mags and just change springs when they get tired.
