  1. After going through the proper reloading stages and making sure you're not blowing primers, just keep an eye on any cracks or odd looking brass (if you're into picking up the brass.) I always use once-fired 9mm brass I buy by the thousands, so if I don't feel like picking it up that day, or feel like a big baller, I just let it lay and purchase another couple thousand a few months later.
  2. You and me both, kid. I carry a P-01 frame with a SP-01 slide milled out for a DPP. My only problem is the comp. I disn't exactly know if a M&P comp would match the contour of the CZ without a lot of work (dremeling). So I'm going to get an extended SP-01 barrel, cut it down and thread for m14x.075, put a tanfoglio small frame comp on it, and mill the comp for side ports. Glocks are really wide, and frankly, I'm not sure anything but a G43 comp would work without taking it to the mill so it'll fit inside the frame when it cycles for yah.
  3. Cute 'little' gun, you'll also get to use the excellent Mec-Gar CZ mags.
  4. Guess they're acting nicer since their not the only cowboy in town now.
  5. Non-ported holes will always be easier to get more velocity out of. If you don't mind a bit of smoke, I've been able to run coated lead bullets at major with just a bit of smoke.
  6. Always pull through, it'll do your trigger and accuracy good. Also, it helps with Glock shooting, and I found attempting to stage a glock trigger ends with poor accuracy.
  7. Better to drop a mag with rounds in it then lock up on shot 1 of 2...
  8. I'm currently tinkering with a 35 yard zero, but I need to just do a 15-75 yard zero experiment.
  9. But by all means, you'll love a dot.
  10. I was always somebody who could look at the target and not have to have a hard focus on my front sight, while keeping the FS a subconscious operation. I still keep a hard target sight while tracking the dot in my mind.
  11. Practice, practice, practice! A big tip I got was to press out, and at the near-end, lift the gun vertically up until you see the dot. Other wise, just practice pressing out and getting the dot in view.

870 will work just fine for you. Pro tip: always use the same loads, no matter the range or occasion, different shells will hit different POI and follow through will be different when you switch em up.
  13. Compensator will prolong the barrel being locked, so don't expect much. My comp'd Glock wont run any off the shelf 9mm regular-P, save for the next step up, the Winchester 9mm 124grn. NATO Ball, which is 10% more PSI than standard 9mm.
  14. As described earlier, tune the extractor like a 1911/2011.
  15. Imgur or tinypic for pics please, I wanna see!!!
  16. What half bastard said!! LifeSizePotato on YouTube. I've been dancing with doing the 10mm conversion, just haven't comitted yet.
  17. I never liked the 'trigger finger' method, as it always made my 2nd finger joint hurt after doing it, so I use my middle finger. Whether static or dynamic, I've never spaghetti'd the gun into the deck by 'flipping' the gun up, using the web of my thumb and pointer finger as the contact spot for rotation, before dropping the mag with my dominant middle finger, 'flipping' the gun into a good grip, and getting another mag in. This method may be too slow, however, as with frequent practice, it seem's like my mag arm slows a bit to make up with the extra-time taken to eject the mag.
  18. Little know secret: if you have your DPP pretty far back (flush with the back of the slide, but hanging over the hammer and FP) you can actually still dovetail a rear suppressor-height sight in front of it, albeit it being in being over the cut for the extractor. I would recommend the Leupold rear sight, as I know a guy with his flock set up in that maner, and it totally holds up.
  19. I had L&M Machine do my slide for a DPP, with the rear sight milled in front of the optic for my preference setup.

    carry optc

I have a P01 with a DPP, so it pulls double duty as both my CO and CC gun. I'd recommend finding a second slide to mill, albeit, it might be neigh-high as CZ doesn't sell frames and slides separately.
