  1. My bet is other than guys shooting one they happen to have nobody is setting up to actually compete with one. I have a 31 and with major PF ammo it is quite snappy and in my opinion not the best tool for the job. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
  2. Love the versatility Hate the limited bullet profiles. Love almost any powder can make major Hate no cheap carbide dies (and yes you want to buy the Dillon carbide die) Love making brass from 40sw Hate bullet setback issues Love Lee factory crimp die (helps with setback issues) Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
  3. My point was in reference to the rules not being enforced constantly. I as match staff go out of may way to make sure the rules are enforced equally for everyone. I as a competitor try to remind my squad mates about any oddity's I see in a WSB, like unloaded starts or something other that 2 rd per target, Virginia count ect.
  4. this was a comment on a theoretical stage described in the post above it
  5. I was more pointing out that even going from a Kydex bucket to a tight thumb break leather pancake with no practice was not a huge difference. there are many very nice leather holsters on the market that would not cost anything on the draw over a kydex holster. would I choose a thumb break pancake for competition? Probably not, and for Steel Challenge it would be less likely, that said at my skill level 4.8 seconds wouldn't kill my match .(.15 x 4 runs x 8 stages) to put it into perspective, it would have only moved Max to 3rd at this years WSSC for most of us we would gain way more worrying about the shooting and less about our gear.
  6. To put slower into perspective a few years ago I was playing around at the range and after practicing with my kydex rig I put on an old leather thumb snap pancake holster and tried some deals for that if I recall correctly it was about .15 to .2 slower. Granted I had (and still have) a pretty slow draw to begin with, but I remember bot my shooting partner and I were quite surprised at how little difference it made swapping with nothing but a couple practice draws Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
  7. when I MD our sectional I make sure to put an RO I know will be counting shots on the stages with empty gun starts. it's also helpful to them if the stage layout makes firing 11 easy and obvious
  8. that not pushing the limit that is just illegal, Pushing the limit is one we had a few years ago, position 1 had 4 paper (2per) and 1 popper from position 2 one of the paper from position 1 was visible along with 3 new paper and 1 popper so from each position you could see 4 paper and 1 popper only one of the paper was visible from both. to get 8 from each view you had to shoot 1 on the common paper from each location.
  9. Similar to this, I can feel the difference between heavy slow bullets and light fast bullets at similar power factors or ammo at different power factors (within reason) while shooting statically. what I have found for me is that after the beep in practice or competition, I cant tell the difference, I have mixed 115 factory 9mm with 170gr 9mm hand loads in mags during a match and all I noticed is some of the rounds were louder than the others. Basically I think we as a group pay way too much attention to the little things that really don't matter all that much.
  10. we occasionally run stages with "hands in any legal position" in the stage brief its always entertaining to watch people try a new draw position with no practice. I discussed this last weekend with a local newly minted younger GM and reminded him that he was probably not going to gain much on his already very fast draw putting his hands some where new that he didn't practice a thousand times a week.
  11. With my MKA the answer to feeding issues has been Winchester AA shells the harder hulls feed better and and they cycle smoother than anything else I have tried. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
  12. I don't believe a zero counts even as one of your first 4 in a division so that would have been a non issue. I have heard of clubs that will remove non USPSA members from the results they turn in so they can save a couple bucks on their activity fees, (I am entirely too lazy to do something like that to save a couple dollars that aren't mine)
  13. I think this is another situation where the definitions section of the rule book has jumped in and changed the original meaning of one of the rules. If the original meaning of this rule did not include the entire make ready procedure (load and make ready at that time) then there would have been no reason to have specific exemptions for Hammer less revolvers (to check spin the cylinder) and DA gun to decock. But with the definition of loading being so specific the rule has been reinterpreted and the exemptions are now of no use. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
  14. That is correct you may not force a shooter to shoot more than 8 from a location, but it is fine for there to be more avaliable actually having more avaliable is what give shooters options in how they shoot a stage. From a legal stage point of view there just has to be some way to complete the stage without shooting more than 8 from a view or location, Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
  15. Try using a small piece of tape over your non dominate eye, just position it so it blocks the sights from that eyes view but lets you see the rest of the world around it. I use a piece of target tape and take it off when I'm not shooting, it bugs me when I'm not shooting but I know several people that just leave it. some people use regular clear tapes and i have heard of using chap stick as well anything that blocks the sights from one eye.
  16. the Issue the guys I know with them had, in production is the weird cut on the front of the magazine can hook on the edge of the grip if you miss when reloading, I've never used one but that is the complaint I have heard.
  17. One unintended result of allowing video review is More close calls will get made because the RO will know if they are wrong the video will over turn it. Look at the NFL the refs rarely whistle turn overs dead anymore even when it's pretty blatantly not a clean play, because they know it will be reviewed. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk

  19. So how do the fault lines on a moving tread mill work? 2.2.1.1 Shooting Boxes and Fault Lines should be constructed of wooden boards or other suitable material, must be fixed firmly in place, and provide both physical and visual references to competitors. For hard ground surfaces clear of debris, 0.75 inch material is the minimum allowable size. On other range surfaces, such as covered with turf, sand, gravel, wood chips or similar, thicker material which rises at least 1.5 inches above the surface is recommended Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
  20. In my G22 with a 9mm barrel and alpha wolf comp, a slightly lightened slide I have to run a 11lb spring for it RO run with my regular minor ammo (124gr bullets with tight group) it will run with with 115s and slow powder but I have to bump up the load a bit and the brass only goes about 6" Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
  21. My wife shot minor intentionally [emoji3] and ours was the only stage I gave here a different plan than what I was using. There were a few times where I saw the deltas happening and thought I should make that up but I need all 8 rounds. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
  22. I can almost agree with revolver being different but it doesn't shown in my shooting and there are never enough revolver shooters for class to even come up. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
  23. Thanks, but what I should feel bad about is not getting my load worked out before the match and going minor at Chrono, I shot way too many Cs and Ds for minor. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
  24. Just wish you could enter as a classification above what uspsa has you at. I felt bad at a recent L2 match because I had to enter as a C in Single Stack, I shoot at a high B level in Lim, Prod and Open and it just didn't feel right winning C by 12%. It's not like different guns change the level of your shooting ability. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
