  1. That leaning in part just sounds like too much work. Just wait till it's obvious that they are waiting for are you ready, then tell them what to fix. I say wait for it to be obvious because I have reminded shooters too soon and had them be a bit grumpy because they knew and we're just not there yet, and I don't want to mess with anyone's routine unless I have to. 2. So you weren't paying attention when this was discussed endlessly regarding bob vogel's gun last year? If it's not functioning, it's not considered a light by uspsa. If I have a cmore on my gun, but take the battery out of it and the electronics, am I in limited or open? Taking the engine out of a car doesn't mean it's not still a car, it's just a non functioning car, just as taking the guts out of a flashlight doesn't change the fact it's a flashlight, it's just a non functioning flashlight. The rule says attached flashlight is not allowed in limited. I think if you took the lens and batteries out of a C-more it would be pretty easy to make the argument that it is Not an optical sight but just a really bad sight and legal in limited. I think the key would be removing the lens.
  3. I was doing some 25yd zeroing on a my and my wife's SS and Revolver guns yesterday. I was not super happy with the groups I was getting from those 4 guns ( all around 5"-6" ish off hand) and as a quick test I grabbed my G17 and ran a quick 10 shot group and was somewhat surprised to find that while its trigger is long and mushy and GLOCK like I (emphasis on the I as in me personally) shot almost half the group size ( 3 1/2" ish) with it than either of the 1911's I am reasonably sure that the groups the other guns were shooting were because of me as I had tried a few different ammo combinations and they all shot about the same but apparently I just shoot that 17 better, it just feels right to me.
  4. I would say the reason to prohibit working flashlights is two fold. 1 when the rules were originally written Limited was more limited. and weights were illegal. 2 if functioning lights were allowed then you would see at a amazing pace the development of super bright focused beam lights that would be used as aiming devices thus making Limited more like Open. Unfortunately doing a comprehensive (or even superficial read through) of the rule book when we make changes to a division is nearly impossible, so we end up with strange rules and rulings that do not really fit together very well. when Limited was updated to allow pretty much anything but optics and compensators we should have removed the rule against mounted lights because the functional difference between a frame weight and a frame mounted flash light ,that is off, is nill. we could have replaced it with a prohibition on having any said light turned on.
  5. On the pistol at minor power factor the dot is the main advantage, comps don't do that much unless you load slow powers to get them some gas even then at minor it's not a big deal. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
  6. I think the real solution is to run more stages with classic targets, we run a minimum of one stage each month with classic targets, some times we even have more with classics than metrics so everyone is pretty used to it.
  7. Yes, I know when I am setting up the match what stages have metric and classic targets and I set them up accordingly. the fun one is disappearing targets you have to set them as disappearing to get the no penalty mikes column to be active, but I normally don't want to make that active for all the targets (cuts down on errors) so I try to figure out how the ROs will be scoring the stage for left or right handed shooters and make the appropriate ones have NPM's available. I have a quick Rant on this, For scoring targets B's and C's are interchangeable (verbiage from 9.1.4 For the pur-pose of this rule, B-zone and C-zone hits shall be considered one and the same.) so why do we even still have B's and C's Makes no sense to me just makes the head floppy on the target and scoring more complicated.
  8. Yes, I have several that will fit glock mags Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
  9. The crock info is correct so far. Iron, is any gun with iron sights. The stages are going to be about 40 to 60 rounds each but you will have some options to shoot less but more accurately if you want (targets need either 1 A or B hit OR 2 hits anywhere to not get a time penalty) As for mag pouches you can make 2 plus pockets work, I have several extras I would be happy to loan Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
  10. Glad you had fun, Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
  11. I think you could still do something like that, you would just need to make at least one target available from the stop position so they have to shoot it because it is doesn't disappear, that way if a gamer tries to game it and not shoot at most of the disappearing targets then they still get the time it took to get to the end. heck you could even rig a target to appear some time after the cart stops
  12. I watched s guy shoot a whole stage with 9mm in a 40 I think it was a M+P said he thought he had his 9mm but they looked the same. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
