Looks for Match

Looks for Match (2/11)

  1. I’ve also used TF with good results.
  2. Op, Thanks for the post. If you have a moment, how, pray tell, on God’s green earth did you get the ambi Safety turned around?? I’ve stripped two allens, tried heat and stripped two more and that screw hasn’t budged. Any assistance would be appreciated.
  3. Have the Bergara HMR in 6.5 CM, very happy with accuracy for a stock gun.

    VP9 B!!!

I picked one up. Very happy with it. Same mags, same holsters... no issues (unless you count the total nightmare of pushing on Heinie sights).
  5. I used a Noveske 10.5 on a build and was very happy with the accuracy and reliability.
  6. I have the Heinie Straight Eights on all my Glock’s, for carry and sport. I like the size of the “light bars” and I seem to pick the sight picture up quickly.
  7. For my .02, you can browse the used handgun parts and accessories classifieds on various sites for cheap Glock parts. Barrels (stock and Lone Wolf) seem to come up used fairly regularly for $70-80. I also saw the Swenson brand slides on sale at midway for $140ish though cant vouch for them personally.
  8. Thank you both. I’ll get the one not for use with the spacer on order.
  9. All, Appreciate any info in advance. I have an STI 4.0 2011 DS. First 2011, bought it used. I carry it daily to and from work and shoot it for weekend matches. I have 6 1st gen 140mm mags that work great in matches and as my spare on my belt when I carry. I bought one 126mm mag new, 2nd gen to have in the gun when I carry. It worked fine for 6 months but now is consistently not locking back on empty. My thought is is to order the gram spring and follower designed for 9mm with a spacer, and try that with a spacer. For those with experience with these, is that a reasonable first step for a 126mm? Anything I’m missing?
  10. Thank you all. I greatly appreciate the help. I'm going to put some hotter ammo through it and look at a lighter striker spring. If all else fails, maybe an excuse to buy a 34.
  11. Thank you for your reply. With the comp off and factory spring, it runs fine with the new barrel. When I put the comp back on, you are correct slide doesn't come back far enough to pick up next round. However, neither the 15 nor 13 lb spring run either. I get the malfunctions described above unfortunately.
  12. Hoping I might get some advice on either getting this setup running or giving up on it: I bought a Glock 19 MOS and was hoping to make it work as a competition gun. I have a Delta point attached, the trigger and extras I want and the pistol ran great. I got a deal on a YHM compensator and liked the looks of it so I got a Lone Wolf threaded barrel and attached it. Of course, after it wouldn't even pick up the next round off the mag. So I got a Jager Gen 4 guide rod and a 15 and 13 lb springs. The 15 seems still too much weight, as the gun malfunctions by the bottom of the slide getting caught on the top of the next round (generally the rim). The 13 seems too light, as the rounds nose dive. At that weight, just taking the slack out of the trigger brings the slide back. I've tried everything from 115g to 147g, and all factory. So, is this just an impossible set up? Does the YHM brake just let too much gas escape? I would appreciate if can advise on just getting rid of the brake completely or is there something I'm missing? Thanks in advance.
