  1. Geissele triggers having issues with PCC is nothing new. My guess would be a combination of hammer height (i.e. shorter than hiperfire/jp) and the depth of the particular bolt face you are using (where the firing pin is). People asking the company (Geissele) about it have even stated that eventually their current triggers will fail with ramped bolt/9mm PCC set ups (even the ones that work now). It is the reason that they are designing a PCC specific trigger. Their triggers are not designed to work with a ramped bolt. The two hassle-free choices are really hyperfire and JP as far as I know, both are great triggers. ***also I have shot all three (SD3G, 24G/eclipse, and JP) on an AR, and have had the JP and Hiperfire in PCCs. For me the SD3G although very close, was behind the other two. You will be very happy with a hyperfire 24C/eclipse or the 24G if you prefer a curved trigger.
  2. There are a lot of threads regarding aftermarket triggers for PCC. The two options I would recommend would be the JP triggers and hyperfire triggers.
  3. ^^^ Just throw away (or scrap for brass value) any FM or IMT headstamps. It will make your life a lot easier. I can actually feel them in my sizing die on my dillon 650 press if one sneaks by my QC.
  4. Some of the 9mm barrels will not run all bullet profiles to mag length. The longer throat allows you to run any bullet profile to mag length. I think most of the round nose factory ammo should work in most barrels, but its not a guarantee. As others have stated, if you get a stainless barrel it can be easily reamed. Nitrided barrels you are kind of stuck with what you have. To avoid issues period, go with JP or Taccom. The 9mm barrels are all within a pretty narrow price range. If I were building one and didn't want to have to deal with possibly reaming a barrel, those would be my options.
  5. There are several threads on this topic. If you are not looking for a comp, I would suggest looking at the taccom ULW barrel (basically a pistol barrel with an aluminum shroud). Keep in mind many of the manufacturers barrels will have to be reamed to run longer ammo (JP/taccom can run LONG from factory). As far as ideal SBR length, it really depends. I would go for 8" myself. Keep in mind the shorter you go the less hand guard you have to grip. Some people like vertical grips and would go shorter, I'm not one of them.
  6. The best scope is a second scope just like the one you will be using on your centerfire rifle, lets you get used to the controls and sight picture. However, there are some cheaper options that do very well for the cost. I put an athlon argos BTR 6-24x on my 22 and have been very impressed with it. Some people swear by some of the fixed scopes (such as the SWFA 10x hd) for 22s as they are fairly cheap and offer good glass for cost. ***On a side note, my argos BTR might be for sale soon as I am selling the rifle it is sitting on***
  7. If i recall, the hammer spring comes installed slightly differently, just have to make sure it looks like the picture before you install it.
  8. It looks like one arm of the hammer spring is under the trigger pin. They should both be ontop of the trigger pin. That could cause the issues you are having. oh and the spring is on the hammer wrong****
  9. Pic would let us see if something is messed up. There is no way for us to know without.
  10. Am I missing something, or is it just $120 bling grip? It isn't lighter than a typical grip.
  11. The reason for the KNS is not the anti-walk (if the hiperfire is installed correctly the pins will never walk). It is to minimize the chance of egg-holing your hammer pin hole in your receiver by spreading the force on your hammer pin to your trigger pin hole. If your KNS were working for you before, they should be fine. I think its just a tolerance stacking thing. ***on a side note, someone on boomer shooter was recommending switching the anti-rotate to the trigger hole if you have issues. Allows the hammer to rotate while still allowing the force to be spread out. Going to have to test that out tomorrow***
  12. Sorry was skimming and misread the post prior. I tried some grease and still had issues. Hopefully it solves yours, I'd love to be able to use the KNS pins
  13. Its not even a broken pin necessarily. If the hammer pin of the KNS set is just a little too big it creates too much drag on the hammer which is exacerbated by the fact that it can't rotate. I tried installing a KNS gen 2 set with an ECL. Ran into this issue.
  14. Did you install anti walk pins? It sounds like you did, or you need some light oil on the hammer pin.
  15. LRBHO is contained in the lower on the qc10. Can run a lighter upper receiver instead of another 11 oz pig. *** also a milspec upper like an aero precision is ~$80 cheaper than the LRBHO upper by NFA. Something to factor into your cost analysis.
  16. How LRBHO works as I see it. With the NFA you need to use their LRBHO upper which is also heavy instead of a mil spec upper. And you can't buy a JP lower right now. They are still at max production to cover their full GMR-15 rifles. I'm assuming we will have access to the GMR-15 lowers closer to the end of the year. ***edit - once GMR lowers are available I would also argue that the magwell is a massive improvement, especially when using a taccom magwell extension.
  17. Yes. It's just like any other barrel, but if you are going lightweight you may as well go with the taccom. It's under 6oz with barrel nut. The only thing lighter is the brigand hand guard for like $300.
  18. Dirty brass is a normal side effect of a blowback design. I wouldn't worry about it. It comes out of the tumbler clean.
  19. More pics! and how much for one haha.
  20. Taccom magwell extension is pretty much all it needs, makes a huge difference for reloads and its only 30$. People have put extensions on the GMR-13 mag releases, haven't seen anyone do it on the 15's yet. May want to have a spare mag release around incase you bork something. ***edit*** also if you got your GMR through a retailer like shooter's connection it will have the middle weight trigger springs combo in it. Only factory sold JPs come with the lightest spring set up usually. So if that is the case switching out a spring will drop trigger pull some.
  21. I don't have any personal experience, but from reading on the website, you may need to buy the extra power spring to use with the extension.
  22. Handled one today, just curious if a bit of play between the receivers is normal for these. All of my AR's are rock solid and it just seemed odd to me.
  23. If you are lucky you can find options like the Leopold vx-6 multigun for around $750. Only 14 oz similar clarity to razor.
  24. 115s are used for higher bolt velocity. Faster cycle and return to POA. 124s are the happy medium.
