I hate that I have to miss nationals this year after earning my slot. I hate that my wife has been out of work for the past 8 weeks. I hate that we have to worry about money so much in our lifetime. I hate that it is 75 degrees, partly cloudy, my guns and ammo are in truck and am stuck in the office for another six hours.

That is a good ending..and I am glad you were where you were when you were..sometimes that is the toughest thing..but we are all here for a reason..glad it turned well and help can be sought.. my best to you and your friend..

That does suck...I remember last Christmas being home..doing some concrete repair in my mom's basement... heard some shrieking..ran out and found a woman on the ground just losing it..pointing to her garage..ran in there..found her son had committed suicide..called 911 and checked him for vitals...bad day... not that that wasn't bad..but my son, three at the time..loves firetrucks, police cars and ambulances..hard to work with him and his excitement... I feel for ya...tough to deal with. Puts things in priority.. take care

That has always worked for me... I talked with Matt B. about doing this too..during practice and at club matches for training. To push one time..on the edge, to see what it looks like and see what the inputs are at that level..then shoot more aware match..where you see and call everything. The goal to bring the two closer together, build the confidence at being at the edge and train your subconscience that you can perform at that level and see that fast.

Yup..they are kimbers...kimber did get an LA SWAT deal provided two guns..one with rail, one without..I did find a photo of Samuel Jackson with a kimber from a movie promo..trying to post it..

Haven't seen it yet..but most likely since kimber as they had the LA SWAT contract..remember seeing some promo shots of Samuel Jackson with the kimber.

Yeah pretty much did... seems most of the 9x23 is now on the 1911, STI/SV or race gun platforms.. seen some S&W 940 converted, heard of some 38 super 686's converted, some Glock 20s and an occassional AR carbine.. I don;t have the time or money to experiment with these..so I only have a 1911, a 2011 and my race guns...

Heard of some people doing the conversion...heard only issue was some mags had some trouble..but correctible..think there might be some info over at pistolsmith..one of the guys I heard doing this conversion was David Difabio..runs ammolab.com and a training place called the responsible shooter in PA..

Looks like a mounting pad for the mount... McLearn guns were very sweet running guns....I miss my caspian open gun...Sold it off many years ago..when I quit shooting...very nice gun

If its a static stage..el pres, etc..I usually engage left to right... if its an array in a stage..the stage will dictate how I shoot..depending on movers, activators, movement.. I usually train in both directions..so I am comfortable and as proficient either direction.

Jack..sorry to hear your return was so frustrating..I remember coming back last year and shooting after leaving for 5 years...the first couple of matches were kind of tough..because I could remember shooting at the M-level.. Well .at least you can figure..it can only get better.. I'm looking forward to seeing you out at matches again...hope to see ya sometime soon. Stuart

It was pretty cool.. He adjusted my draw...so I've been doing repetitions trying to get the new motion memorized..seems pretty smooth...see what it is on the timer later this weekend..I think my only shock of the afternoon..was when he grabbed my gun and had a checkering file in the other hand...oh the horror...

Was supposed to take class with Matt in Colorado, when my wife got ill and I couldn't make it... Chatted with Matt and he said hey, I'm at the range..come on up and shoot..very cool..hung out for couple of hours...Shot about 100 rounds, Matt gave me some tips on my draw, reloading, presentation and transitions.and other good stuff.. It was all pretty informal..but I feel like I picked up a lot of information..things to work on and try to keep me busy for a month or so.. Only thing..our session was interrupted by none other than BE...with a phone call about computers... man..of all things... Even interesting was watching Matt set up his SV 9mm for a IDPA match this weekend.. anyway..it was very cool..I got some stuff to work on..

Yup..thats what I would call... if anyone can take a beautiful piece of craftmanship and beat the crap out of it..TitanDriver can and will....

A buddy of mine has had pretty good service with Johnny Lim..He and his wife have guns from him..his latest is a tigercat with four blowholes....can't wait to catch up with to try it out... We have one of the SV IMM guns in the club I shoot with and seems to shoot pretty flat...gun is really light and I like that..it is loud though..I have shot it a little..but not enough to make a good judgement if I were to really want one.. both are really cool..if I only had the money to burn...

very cool thanks... I'd be curious too about the short buttstock..I have a rockriver M4 but it has the full size buttstock..it fit fine shooting, but have always liked the CARs.. thanks again
