  1. It's been said in the past that replacing the trigger plunger spring with a pen spring = "goodluck no warranty" type of responses from everyone... those type of springs are not reliable. Most people eventually moved to the henning trigger plunger springs... Thought heard I heard PD doesn't recommend them with bolo... i think I have the "18#" spring in mine and works fine with solid reset. (Had to polish the shit out of the plunger) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. When I installed the titan initially, I gained prolly few ounces in DA and 6-8oz in SA... At the time, I hadn't done a FULL polish job and still had yet to install new reduced sear spring, bolo, reduced trigger plunger spring, reduced trigger return spring, new firing pin and spring, as well as new extended firing pin block and spring... It came down maybe 2 pounds in DA and 1 pound in SA after all that... Started what're you are and now down in the 5.5/2.5lb area... It'll get sorted out... polishing helps, but there's still a few more things people do to their guns to get it down... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Yea good questions... I saw their working a little today on Instagram. I figured I'd call shortly after Christmas once they're back working full time... I know they do full customs, they have a steel grip mid length starting at 43-4500... one of their more recent posts on Facebook said it was closer to 5. Thinking of just asking for "one like in that photo". Haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Same here... the wife was cool with me maaaybe getting something like a trubor, then a ck, and now I'm saving for an Atlas, haha... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Saw the photos on Instagram, following this story Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Taran Butler on his interview for the shooters summit said the sig mpx has a significant advantage over the rest out of the box and can be modified to be even better if you so choose... I saw a YouTube vid of him shooting real fast with one, lol... so I tend to believe it. (He claims no affiliation with sig and neither do I) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. It's probably combo of too long and/or not enough power in your recoil spring... It could also be that there are some burrs on your rails... I would manually cycle your slide for a bit to smoothen things out... I remember my first range trip I had to bang the back of my tanfo on the carpeted range table to get it to feed a couple rounds... I know my stock 2 won't shoot some stock/factory ammo... I now load to to 1.1oal and works fine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. It could be the press... I'm having similar issues with FEDERALS! The issues I'm having is with my 650 with only 10k rounds through it... There's a bolt/spring/Allen wrench contraption (it's called the primer punch assembly) underneath the shell plate that sets the primer depth... Sometimes it backs out on its own, causing high primers. Sometimes I'll screw it in too far and I'll get deep primers... for some reason, it won't stay in place... i have to be adjusting it now probably every 50 rounds.... I think I'm going to back it out all the way and maybe put some teflon tape on the threads to hopefully hold it in place.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Maybe it's a slide mounted vs open gun (frame mounted) issue? The open guys aren't complaining nearly as much... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I think the parts quality varies... I've only reloaded maybe 10k rounds, first year, and a bunch of parts, including that spring, have either broke/bent/malfunctioned... Lucky have the spare parts kits... And Dillon of course is amazing and priority ships you what you need for free. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. The 650 priming ram can be adjusted... it can be screwed in and out and adjusted down with a small Allen key... mine backs out all the time causing high primers... have to hand tighten after every 100 rounds or so. Maybe I need to locktite it down? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Again, I'll add to the idea that it depends on what your hoping to do with the platform.... For production: as long as you can handle a dremel or sandpaper, your gun will outperform any plastic fantastic... For limited: it's personal preference unless your chalee For open: it's still up in the air... jj might love his, but that's nowhere near a stock gun. I think kneelingatlas has said it a bunch in other threads, cz/tanfo has an inefficient comp and popple hole setup... it takes more than a tinkerer with a dremel to get the same performance out of a tanfo in open vs a 2011 from a builder... 13. I don't own either... in the market though. I see the rts2 has a 5mm taller window than the dpp. Even at a reduced price, it can't "kill" the rts2. Closest match in size to the rts2 is the new romeo3. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Thanks for posting this... I went through this a couple months ago and this is a very good guide. One tip that I read was: if your afraid of grinding too much off of the sear, just go until your safety engages/disengages with your thumb. I got mine to work with a slightly heavier engagement than how it came stock and stopped there. Over the past month or two, with all the dry fire I do, it eventually broke in nicely and is a lot easier/smoother. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I'm using 135g round nose from Bayou in my stock 2 Loaded to 1.1 Shot maybe 5000 so far at that bullet weight with no problems. Had to plunk test first tho... was loading 1.165 with my glocks What's your recoil spring weight... I've heard that can have an affect. I'm shooting a 6lb, lol The standard is 8-9 I realize the limpro has a diff barrel, might need to be reamed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. You would've got one within 10-15 mins after... around 730 there was like 30 people on waiting list. I'm in, but like 5 of my friends aren't. There's a waiting list of 117 people now according to their squad list site. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Less than 10? Heard from a friend he couldn't get in and he logged in at 7... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. 10 wouldn't work for me even with federals, maybe 50/50, seating issues? 12 works fine with federals and couple of Winchester that I had already loaded thrown in the mix... Only light strikes I get right now are when I get a high (anything above flush) primer... so I do a lot more qc now Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Sounds to me like: open for serious, non-tinkerers = 2011 Open for non serious = Cz due to lack of upgrades in comps/grips, etc... Open for tinkerers = cz I like the tanfo platform for production... if I were going limited, I'd choose a Cz/tanfo as their already setup better than a "stock" sti variant (Non custom shop type) I want to go open maybe next year and it seems like 2011 is easier to do for the non machinest... (even though I love the tanfo/Cz style gun, I'd like to get the most from the gun and The comps and slides need work, so I hear) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I don't think your "supposed" to... When I did mine, I had dust everywhere inside the receiver... I've seen some vids where people tape it up tight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Excited to see the reviews on them in the coming months... was looking to get into open maybe next year and really like the tanfo/Cz platform. I keep hearing the comps and holes leave a lot to be desired, in the CM and gold team, etc...which would stop me from purchasing since I don't do custom work on my guns like some of the more tech savvy shooters on this forum.
  22. Bayou 135g for 9mm is perfect blend of light/heavy/cost effective Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Isn't there a screw assembly underneath the shell plate area? A rev B seater assembly? Looks like a bolt with a spring to cushion it during the downstroke. Mine actually comes loose and I have to adjust it by hand every so often, if not the primers don't get pressed in far enough (the screw backs out and the primers end up sticking out past flush from the case) and sometimes don't get set off by my 12lb hammer spring... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Also interested... they looks sweet and grippy Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. very nice zomby anyone know if the tanfo lpa rear sight cut is similar to the berreta 92 lpa cut? I found a C-more sts dovetail mount for a beretta 92 and was curious if it could fit the stock2.... if not, maybe with some light filing or shim stock... seems like all the red dots on the market are +/- 1mm from each other in size until you get to the rts2....
