Okay. Good! I feel like I just found $200.00. I abandoned trying to look "cool" years ago.

Other than doing slide cuts to get a Shadow 2 or a Stock II to make weight, does it offer any advantage to making cuts on a pistol that's already legal? Like an SP-01.

XT 124GR RN loaf Data for win 231 & CFE pistol
kipdynamite replied to VAyounggunner's topic in 9mm/38 Caliber
I run 3.5 of 231 under 147 gr. TC 1.125 OAL. The Hodgdon site only shows Berry's Hollow Base 124 gr. at 3.9. and a OAL of 1.15. I'd start there.- 4 replies

I switched to ACME just recently. They were the best deal I could find of all the coated ones. I've gone through about 3000 without any problems. More accurate? I haven't noticed a discernible difference. They don't pull out easily in my RCBS bullet puller. Only about half the the time and it puts a bite ring around the whole circumference. I would say that's my only downside. Copper plated pop right out and are still in perfect condition.

Yep. Or yourself. When I fumbled a mag and inadvertently and instinctively tried to grab it, I just barely muzzled myself while in slide lock. DQ! Now I think about doing whatever I can NOT to DQ at every start.

If I had to choose from those 3, I'd go with the M&P 9mm already able to accept the RMR. A little more investment upfront, but cheaper ammo. less recoil to get dot back on target, more ammo in the 140mm mags. 40 offers no advantage in this division.

I want to order the +4 Mag extensions for my existing CZ SP-01 18 Round tubes. Has anyone done this without changing spring and follower? Capacity? Reliable feeds?
-
Order a dovetail for your CZ? That's what I did. My slide is still being milled, but I'm curious to see if the indexing is going to be effected.

I have Shadows, so I carry a few in my range bag. They seem to go down about every 10-15k.

Slowly on my 650. I've re-used all of them. They've all gone off.
-
I researched for a while. When it was time the DPP was the clear winner.

147 TC in my Shadows. No issues at all. 147 RN can be persnickety out past 1.14 COL. -
For me I guess it didn't really matter. I've yet to shoot in either division.
-
The RO was a friend and a GM who brought me along to see how I liked it, so the former is most likely the reason.
-
I made the same mistake with an unloaded start at my first match, but got moved to limited minor.
-
I went with Primary Machine. About $180 Black Nitride refinishing.

650 handle hight question
kipdynamite replied to CTJer's topic in Dillon Precision Reloading Equipment
I stand half the time. My wife is a photographer, so I use one of her stools to sit when I'm doing it for a long while. They have the most adjustment and can be set pretty high. BH Photo sells them relatively cheap. -
I've always just used the CZC thin alum. and Pro Grip. Seems to work well.

I don't think any gun with an SAO is legal in Prod, regardless if it's a 1911 or not.
-
I bought the DPP 2.5, but didn't even un-box it. It went straight to Primary Machine to be put on my slide. All I read pointed to this one. I've got a Razor 3 MOA on a dovetail mount and haven't had any issues, but the auto on/off and changing the battery without un-mounting was the icing on the cake.

I used to run Titegroup, but recently switched to WIN 231. It's been working well. Softer shooting too.

I have only shot Production for the last few years. Just now getting into CO. I shoot about the same 2-3.
