  1. I've been shooting a dovetail for about a month, but recently sent my slide off for milling. I don't anticipate the indexing to be off much. Hopefully it's easier with the lower dot.
  2. A red dot for me is optimal. I have cross dominance (right hand/left eye), so with irons I have to can't my head and lately my vision in low light for the sights has been lacking. I moved to a red dot and now everything is clear. My focus goes to the target and my right (non dominant) picks up the dot. The sight itself is out of focus, so now I'm looking at a clear target with a dot on it, almost as if it were a laser. Just have to get faster and better with follow ups.
  3. I can't find a cheaper 147 to shoot than ACME with the 10% coupon.
  4. Could be another record for the NFL this year. "Lowest rated..."
  5. I've had good experience with www.shootersconnection.com Usually good stock and good pricing. Always shipped right away.
  6. The crack looks like it only goes to the base of the bullet. It'd go in my practice bin and if it chambered, I'd shoot it. If it went farther down, I'd put in the "pull pile".
  7. I don't shoot open, but have seen the RTS2 shut down in the middle of a stage on a GM.
  8. I've found that the grip out of the holster is key. If I get my hand on the gun in the right position and present the dot is right there. It's when I grab the gun with the grip is just a little off...I have to search for the dot.
  9. I went with the Black Nitride finish as this is what they said this most closely matched the "poly-coat" finish from the factory. Can anyone confirm or deny? Pics?
  10. I just sent mine out today to them. Went with Black Nitride. How long before you got it back?
  11. I shot 24k last year. 9mm in two guns. All hand loaded at about $5.00 per 100 cost. A private range with close to 24/7 access with a flat monthly fee of $80. Been shooting only production and just started CO.
  12. Meh. Either way. I'll find what I need to find.
  13. Dry fire at least 5 days for 20-30 min. A 300-400 live round session on weekends and 150-200 round session one day in the morning before work.
  14. I have two SP01 Shadows that I take both to every match. I've only needed the back up 3 times and all were because of the slide stop breaking.
  15. I went with the 2.5 for my carry ops gun. The triangle at 7.5 was just a little much for me.

I'm sending my target in to do this. Are the base pads CZ on the CZ 18 tube? Is a new spring necessary? Thanks!
  17. I've made the usual errors. I'd put the dot on, shoot a session, have good hits, but slower than irons and think "meh, I'm just going back to iron sights". Then a couple weeks later put it back on and get a little better, but still not as fast as irons, but still better hits. I'm cross dominant, so I have to either cant my head a lot or tape. With the RD, my right eye easily picks up the dot while my dominant left eye sees a clear target with a dot on it. It's a perfect picture. I'm having my CZ slide milled and just going to work it until my transitions and follow ups are as fast as iron sights. Hopefully to the point of no turning back.
  18. I did. I was worried, but at the last match, they made us crono, so I was super happy!
  19. I used to have this problem, but now I drop every round in the Hundo case gauge from Ben's store. Problem gone. If it doesn't drop flush, I put it in the practice pile and pitch the brass. I load Xtreme 147's to 1.135 with 3.0 of TG. it's as accurate as anything I've used and I crono'd a 129 at the last match, so I'm happy with it.
