  1. 3 divisions would give plenty of room, Open limited and production are all enough different. As for the equipment side yes I don't care much because it doesn't matter. A newer gun or a steel grip wouldn't have made me 17th at nationals instead of 18th. The only part about equipment that maters is that its reliable and you are comfortable/trust it.
  2. If open was all there was its what I would shoot. I wouldn't ask to make a division my guns fits in. I would buy the equipment I needed to be competitive, guns last a long time and even in open are a relatively small expense compared to ammo and match expenses.
  3. I shoot limited, I don't want to remove 1, I want to cut it down to 3 total. There are too many divisions and I hate seeing the competition spread out among more divisions. Its a competition not 3rd grade field day, everyone doesn't need a blue ribbon.
  4. Great idea if you add a rule first that requires removing 3 divisions for each one you add.
  5. I thought I had read they were making their own small parts. Barrel I haven't seen anything.
  6. You are building a 40, Run tripp corey mags and the stock basepads work great. They will even trim them to fit the No gap if you ask when ordering from tripp. You will make weight no problem with a Aluminum MSH on the ice and a tungsten guide rod in a standard frame. Using a frame like the jems puts weight out front and allows a standard guiderod that is a lot stronger. Check out Tim Herrons atlas its build on a Jems frame.
  7. Skip the Race Ready frame. The magwell options are better with a dawson or Techwell. Also check out Jems extended frame and cut it to length to get more weight in the frame.
  8. It seems they fit some guns. My buddies DVC and edge works. Both of my PT frames and my STI framed cheely likes them
  9. I did 2 SV triggers neither took more than 10-15 mins.
  10. If no mags or 1 factory may and it hasn't been tri topped or ambi safety added I would say around 1100 Keep in mind the techwell only adds value if the buyer needs/wants it
  11. The paddles are a lot wider than I want. Would it be best to cut them down with a cut off wheel on a dremel sand then down with a sanding drum file them down? curious what methods have worked well for others.
  12. This is my best advice also. Stay in your rhythm. changing things up before a match is a recipe for disaster. If better habits make sense before a match, they make sense all the time. Not really sure why one would vary from their normal habits. Sure if its hot out stay hydrated etc but just like your gear and ammo etc don't change stuff at the last minute before a match. My main idea is if you drink a cup of coffee on the way to work normally drink one on the way to the range. If you have soda every morning drink one. Goes in reverse too, don't drink a coffee if you never drink coffee
  13. Get into position smoothly and have your gun up and ready. Thank of this: It's not how fast you move, is how soon you get moving and how quick you get shooting
  14. Your transitions looked to be the low hanging fruit on this run. (Sounded to me like you just double tapped every target) You also didn't look like you ever got moving very fast AKA no explosion out of positon.
  15. order from a 10-13 (wolfe springs) or an 11-14 (ISMI springs) and do slow motion video on your phone to see which one returns the gun correctly for you.
  16. All that shaddyscott said above. Adding on the draw look where your left hand is in comparison to your right move them together. You look to struggle on transitions. Snap the eyes and move the gun with your legs not upper body. Doing Blake drills really helped me with transitions Moving up range that way cost you a lot of time in extra movement. If you weren't comfortable turning toward the targets did this stage allow you to start on the other side?
  17. 1. Dry fire 30 mins a day 5 days a week 2. Live fire 6 times a month 3. 2 second 4 aces 4. 3 second 25 yard bill drill 5. 1.6 second bill drill 6. Eat and drink better 7. Start working out 3 times a week 8. Win MO Fall Classic 9. Win Free State Sectional 10. Win Illinois Sectional 11. Shoot 90% or better at a level 3 or 4 match 12. Top 16 at national All goals are for limited
  18. You need to get moving sooner and shooting sooner. You wasted time dropping your gun into a low two handed grip then started moving. When you arrive you take while to get started shooting. It's hard to see in the video for sure but I bet you don't have much bend in your knees. You look like you are really bending your back and have tense shoulders. As gooldy stated you need to shoot more aggressive don't mistake that for faster. Splits will be whatever your sights tell you. Move the gun to the next target as soo as you have broken a good shot.
  19. awards seem all over the place. I have gotten something nice for top 3 at a state match and then no award for 3rd master at an Area match. The top 16 just had a history and classic meaning. I get why it's gone but I wish it wasn't.
  20. I hate seeing it go away, when I started top 16 was a way people described good shooters like "Top 16 GM"
  21. Everyone knows limited is the funniest division
  22. I look forward to this match, but I do hope to see it return to Tulsa one of these days.
  23. I used to use 180 BBI with 4.7 of WST at 1.185 before that same but with 4.6 of TG
  24. I didnt replace it, I used a file to blend it like STI should have
  25. Thanks guys, pretty much inline with what I was thinking
