Favorite primer tube filling tool... ?
davidb72 replied to Hammer1's topic in non-Dillon Reloading Equipment
Vibra Prime has worked well for me with CCI & S&B primers. -
Been happy with my AmmoBot. Caught it on sale last holiday season (package deal with 1050 & MBF). My shoulder and elbow are much happier now as well.

Next best small pistol primer? My Federal 100's dried up...

S&B have worked great in my guns and also work well in a Vibraprime. Cabela's sometimes puts them on sale - if you can catch them for $19.99/k you should stock up. -
5.5 gr CFE with 180 gr Ibejiheads coated bullet at 1.18 makes around 170-175 ish power factor out of my STI Edge.

I RO'd the AREA 1 Late match. 3 days of 12 squads a day was no picnic either. But it was my first time to Utah and I found the area to be beautiful and enjoyed my time out there even if I was exhausted.

I use a RHT holster and BOSS hanger for my 2011 Limited Gun and have been very happy with the setup.

Had been using the GHOST pouches but recently got a deal on some DAA RACER pouches. I like the DAA pouches a lot better. They seem to release the magazine much more smoothly.

Good point. I think it's an interesting idea. How do you feel about it?

Sounds like Iron Sights Nationals at St. George, Utah is going to give this a try this year.

Where to send my pistol for front strap checkering?
davidb72 replied to BigBamBoo's topic in 1911-style Pistols
That looks amazingly grippy! -
Those are good ideas - we are dealing with those issues as well. One other thing that would be a help to us. When a competitor enters their member number at registration force them to use the correct format. I get A-123456 and A123456 and 123456 and have to correct them if I can catch them.

2016 Western Pa Section
davidb72 replied to bmiller's topic in Match Announcements - Pistol Only - USPSA, IPSC & Misc.
Fun match - the stages "seemed" simple and straightforward yet I managed to screw most of them up. Very well run, efficient and great staff. I'll be back next year to try again. -
One place where minor hurts is on classifiers. I prefer and enjoy to shoot minor, but have started shooting major at locals to help with classifier scores as I'd like to move up. At sectional or area matches it will be minor only for me unless Tim Herron says otherwise.

Looks good to me. I just started using sketchup myself. Were you having any particular issues that you need help with?

9mm Trojan or 9mm Range Officer? Please help me decide ...

147 gr. Ibejihead 3.3 gr. Universal 1.15 OAL Makes around 130 PF -
It is always good to see folks trying to be consistent and professional. but why a shooting box instead of larger boundaries like you normally see at a L2 or higher match? It's what we had that we could put down quickly (morning of match setup). We discussed it after the match and are planning to do table width fault lines in the future.
-
I am the MD mentioned in the OP. We did indeed decide to put the shooting boxes in front of the safe tables to try and educate our shooters. We are a newly affiliated USPSA club and want to run things "by the book" as much as possible to give our shooters a quality experience that is consistent with what they would see at a L2 or higher match.

You'd be about 1 hour 15 minutes from West Shore Sportsmen's Assoc near Harrisburg, PA where West Shore Practical Shooters runs matches on the third Saturday of each month.
