  1. Haven't made up my mind to try CO yet, but I have an XDM already, so maybe...
  2. Thanks for posting. Great way to use limited space.
  3. Yeah I don't see a problem with production either. Not broken = no fix required.
  4. My condolences on your loss as well. I lost my mother just last month and I understand the feelings. I don't do facebook - in large part for professional reasons - but I can't imagine letting people know about such a loss that way.
  5. I get a lot of experience hating that. Seems to me sometimes that the buzzer is a device that wipes the stage plan from my memory...
  6. If a port is not to be used, there's no good reason why it couldn't be covered up.
  7. Guess I've been lucky. We've occasionally had people who need to be prompted or educated, but nobody has been really unresponsive. Pretty much everywhere I shoot the need to participate in the work is covered at the shooter's meeting and again when the RO does the stage briefing.
  8. I would not stop the shooter, but would offer a reshoot before scoring.
  9. Happy to join in the praises for a great match. Couldn't ask for better staff and their hard work is much appreciated. Kudos to Mads and all those who worked on it.
  10. Weston is site of state mental hospital. They let you out to shoot?
  11. BIBG was a blast. Interesting variety of stages with interesting variety of challenges. Friendly and professional staff. Had a great time and I'm already looking forward to next year. Got to meet Sarge too. Woohoo!
  12. Smell/smoke haven't been issues for me. Maybe it's 'cause I never shoot indoors.
  13. I'm using the BBI 135s but with Titegroup. Sorry. Looking around, though, I'm seeing loads for 124 and 147; start in the middle?
  14. Codemonkey: You said you were using 4.4gr with 124 JHP at 1.13 - What kind of PF are you getting with that? I'm loading 4.1gr of HP38 under Precision Delta 124 FMJ at 1.14 and getting ~ 131.
  15. I started with a Glock 19 because that's what I had, and wasn't going to buy a new gun until I saw some more things and tried some more things for myself. Went to the XDM 5.25 for a while and liked it a lot, but then the CZ 75 Shadow after trying it out and concluding that for me it was a step up. Still have no qualms about shooting the XDM. With the 19rd mags I've even shot Limited with it a few times, just for the fun of it.
  16. Start basic because you are going to see the different things people use and get a better idea of what kind of gear you want to run. Be very sure of your handgun holster - dropping a mag is a pain, but dropping your gun means you're done.
  17. My buddy and I have been using the BBIs for a few months in 135 and 147 with good results. Very consistent results with 3.1gr Titegroup at 1.080 OAL, making a shade over 130 PF.
  18. Good for her, and good for you! Now of course you realize your ammo costs are going to spike, but that will likely have other benefits.
  19. I practice with the same weight I'm shooting in matches. I would not mess with my sights even if I shot 115gr in practice. If you decide to try it, definitely go back to your match ammo before the match. I'm not doing anything "new" on match day.
  20. I agree it's a good idea to shoot your Glock for a bit and get a better idea of what you're going to enjoy, have a chance to talk to people running the pistols you're looking at. And do the trigger on the G19. As it happens, I started with a G19 and shot it for two years before going to the XDM 9mm 5.25 for the last two years in 3-gun and USPSA. Now transitioning to the CZ 75 Shadow. I'm getting better accuracy from the CZ and I think the weight of it is working for me, but YMMV.
  21. I carry a Shield but have competed with a Glock 19 and a Springfield XDM and I am currently converting to competing with a CZ 75 Shadow. I have carried the 19. Guess I'm just all over the place.

I think the pants look pretty good. Digital camo look.
  23. I can reach the safety on my CZ Shadow with no trouble, but the mag release is not quite so easy to work without a little shift in my grip. That was a bit of a problem with my XDM also.
  24. Belt all the way. Even if you wanted to use the belt with more than one gun, there are easy-detachable mounts like TekLok
