Good thread. I just started in open and was wondering the same thing.

So what is the ideal distance to sight in a cmore. I just got a czechmate and sighted in at 20 yards, is this good? Im new to open division.

I have an accu for production and a 75 shadow (short dustcover) for IDPA ESP. I wonder if running my slide from the SP-01 accu on the 75 lower would be ESP legal. Probably not because it is roll marked "SP-01".

Exactly. I think peoples approach would be different if they knew they were competing under the new rule. I definitely go faster when I shoot USPSA limited division than when I shoot IDPA.

I will and see how it shakes out before I make any decisions. Until its in effect I have a tough time visualizing the differences it will ultimately make.

Is there a good place to read about "signs of pressure"? I am about to start loading 40 but I only have experience with 9mm.

I could not be happier with the trigger out of the box. Mine measured in a 1.7 pounds stock.

The new DVD is good for newer shooters.

Use NuFinish car polish in your tumbling media to shine and clean brass. Its cheaper than the "gun" brands sometimes and actually helps lubricate the brass a bit.

Very interesting. My sight is starting to go because of age (44), I guess its time to see the eye doctor.

I improved when I switched to CZ from Glock but I think the improvement was only on long shots. The CZ is easier for me to be accurate with at distance.

Rushing and trying too hard are my weaknesses. Good insight in this thread. I hav Brians book and have failed to read it, that's on me, time to hit the books.

I find myself joking around too much and not focusing all the time at matches. Its a tough habit to break out of.

I don't really care what people think of my shooting ability so it never has bothered me. If I wasn't trying my best then it might matter.

I shoot CZ exclusively now but I have to admit the Tanfo's are really nice.

I would definitely say DQ. Oftebn times before the SO gives that command they are checking out the people and ensuring they are safely behind the line. Walking to the line does not give someone the right to make ready until they are instructed to do so.

I have been competing for about 3 and a half years, I started with an M&P L and switched to a G17 a couple years ago. Well I bought a CZ 75 shadow recently and I am in love but, it did cost a pretty penny. CZ is geat but I would think your fundamentals need to be addressed first.
