    Sig P320

Is that your own stippling job? Looks nice

    Sig 320 sights ?

I am not sure how well it will come off. It you don't care that it comes off then I guess it doesn't matter. Sharpies seem to leave a bit of a shine. I think I would prefer using http://www.midwayusa.com/product/504999/birchwood-casey-sight-black-3-1-2-oz-aerosol
  3. Don't bring your gun or any ammo into DC. Maybe get a hotel in Virginia and leave it there or Park at the metro station in Virginia and metro in.

    Sig P320

I was reading Sig's information on the P320 and read that the circumference of the grip is different. Would you know what the different grips actually measure? Somewhere around there is one of these for the P320 but I can'ts seem to locate it right now. Here is one for the old style P250 grips. I am guessing it's similar still.

    Sig P320

    Medium is the standard
  6. About an ounce. The .375 are just enough to stay IDPA legal (adds owe ounce or less total weight) The large GGI fat stainless guide that accepts 1911 recoil springs only adds a half ounce. The official Production weight from USPSA is already a half an ounce heavier than my stock gun so the guide rod and basepads still leave me with an ounce to add weight somewhere else if needed.
  7. So, I tried it twice. Just messing around loading off of the table it was a little awkward but I images to get 10/12 or so in the gun. Before I got quad load carriers I practiced off of the table and found it a bit awkward too but upon getting carriers it seemed much more nature and less fumble prone. I theorized the same would hold true for the hex load; it did not. I was first in line to buy a hex load and immediately went to work testing loading with my shotgun. It was a disaster. When I grabbed the shells our or the carrier it never felt like I could get a good hold on them. It was like they were oriented wrong in my hand and I couldn't get to where I could reliably isolate one pair to get it in the gun. I had much better success grabbing 6 off of the table but even then you have to slow down so much that it's going to be perhaps slower than loading 8 with two clean quad loads. As much as it wanted it to work and wanted to be the first cool kid to load this way it simply was a non-starter. Still, I respected the company who made the carriers and didn't want to be the first guy to declare defeat so I decided to see what others had to say about it before sharing my negative experience. On the same day that I received it and with a tinge of guilt I listed it for sale in the classifieds with a significantly reduced price in hopes that it would work better for the next guy than it did for me. I have seen no discussion about those carries until this thread so I assume that it also failed for anyone else who tested the waters. Sorry to anyone that may have been convinced to try the carriers based on my video below showing potential that was never and is not likely to ever be realized.
  8. I bought 6 of the .25 and had them numbered. Big improvement over the stock pads and they look awesome.
  9. I kind and of doubt it. My full length G34 tungsten was close to 2 Oz. Never had issues making wait despite that.
  10. The further around your body they go the slower/harder it is to reach the magazines too. Diminishing returns hits hard after #4
  11. Rick from GGI just made an updated about these on the GGI Facebook page. " Update: we have these and other prototype parts for HK pistols waiting at our machine shop (even more that are waiting for me to prototype!) We will continue rolling out new parts for SIG pistols and then move into beta testing the HK parts. Look for things to start moving middle to late this year. Thanks!"
  12. Production as is. Not intimidating to get into; competitive low cost options for guns, ammo, and Equipment; and lots of competition. I started in Production 12 years ago and have never experienced a strong motivation to seriously gear update to shoot any other division.
  13. Getting a one of the belts I mentioned makes a huge difference as well. The belt is much more stiff and doesn't allow the holster to torque nearly as much. The holster can also be locked down and attached much more securely. It's also really great to have all your gear placed and locked down on the belt. It makes it fast to get on and off and everything will always stay in the same place
  14. Buy her one of these to replace the stock DOH hanger. It will make a huge difference. http://www.benstoegerproshop.com/mobile/Product.aspx?ProductCode=BSPS-Hanger Edit: also buy a CR speed, blade tech, or DAA competition belt (with velcro inner belt and stiff outer).
  15. I think the SIG P320 Compact measures 1.40" at it's widest point on the grip so (unless I am getting the specs wrong) you would have to thin the stock grips by .025 to get it to be CCP legal. Not really sure why they felt the need to make the box more shallow. Edit: is there still a 1/16" variation allowance? Maybe it could make it in without modification considering that?
  16. Wow! But they looked so cool and functional in the video I saw on the Internet.
  17. For improved accuracy on a Glock 17 you could look into a BarSto or KKM barrel. This especially holds true if you get the slightly oversized gun Smith fit models. I prefer the BarSto as I have found the KKM's very tight chamber to be a bit too particular with my reloads if there is any case bulge. Not a deal breaker but you definitely want to case gauge your match ammo carefully. The accuracy advantage of a longer barrel for gun games has more to do with the increased sight radius. If that's your goal then look closely at something like a Glock 34 or 17L(not Production legal).
  18. Kind of like this forum should avoid people trying to destroy a man's livelihood because he didn't like a particular gun builder on another forum? Maybe I missed it, but could that have anything to do with zebras? so was the Doodie Zebra1(or 01) profile posting negative comments about specific gun builders?
  19. The Rhino guns looked very nice. Jesse, did you look through the new Leopold scope? Any potential there for open division? I read that the eye box might be a bit unforgiving and I don't think the current method of mounting a 45% RDS is slow in most situations. I guess it could help a bit by indexing on long targets through the RDS and then shifting to the 6x for the Shot? I am happy with my HD Gen II in "Practical" but obviously the Leopold was one of the more novel products.
  20. Otherwise you run the risk of being Internet famous like Tex Gruber.
  21. I don't that these are designed to stick out the end of the gun. It looks like they were designed for the long slide Glocks to be flush with the slide when it is in battery. The ones pictured are stainless steel but actually a better option exists; full length tungsten guide rods. I ran one on my Glock 34 in USPSA Production and liked how it felt and balanced the gun. They are for sale here: http://www.glockstore.com/tungsten-extended-guide-rod-for-your-glock If you are running a Glock 17 then there are also tungsten guide rod options available for that which will sit flush but add a bit more than an ounce out front.
  22. If just accuracy and cost are your primary criterion then look at the SIG P320. It's pretty ridiculously accurate out of the box. Did I just read that you were considering a Glock 17 with a 6" barrel? Barrel length alone won't help you in the accuracy department.
  23. Quantico is supposed to keep a certain mix of members to non members but I haven't seen that manifest as an issue.
  24. I have used LPA cut Dawson rears with success.
