    Thick grips for SP01

I have a CZ-USA 75 SP-01 SHADOW TARGET II 9mm. I have big hands and find my left palm is pushing the safety up while shooting. Has anyone else had this problem and resolved it by changing to thicker grips?

    929

It weighs 5 oz less, but the feel is much better. It should be pretty similar to a PC 627, if you know anybody with one of those.

    929

Mine is cut down to a 5". It feels much better now. Haven't shot it a whole lot since the work was done, but the little I did it just felt right!
  4. Well I have around 10k 9mm brass and would just like the ease of only having to reload 9mm. I do currently have a 929 all raced up. I just thought about trying something different with a TRR8.
  5. I'm thinking of getting a TRR8 for steel challenge, but I would like to stick with 9mm since that's what I mostly reload. Has anyone converted theirs to 9mm?
  6. I've had this same problem with my 929 and magnetic insert. I had to disassemble the insert, and start trimming it with the Dremel. It was binding on a couple areas, but now is smooth as can be. Not something I thought I would have to do with a $200 holster, but it works in the long run.
  7. It looks like I will just have to order one and wait. Thanks guys
  8. I'm getting ready to attempt a trigger job on my new S&W 929. Has anyone found an India stone at a B&M store, or should I do the inevitable and order one online? I'd like to do it this weekend, and that's the last thing I need.
  9. I think I will upgrade my tarp to the big mesh tarp from harbor freight and go from there. Thanks
  10. I was thinking of doing something similar, but somehow put something in the middle of the tarp that I can open up and dump into a bucket. I use a pretty big tarp since my .22 likes to throw them pretty far.
  11. Unfortunately, GrumpOne, none of those seem very practical for steel plate practice. Thanks though.
  12. I have a shooting range on my land, and usually just throw a tarp on the ground to catch the brass. Does anyone have a better way of doing it?
  13. Hey Lazer, I shoot in the PA Steel Legue and have a Steelmaster. Shooting in the PM tomorrow, if you're gonna be there, you're more than welcome to try it out. If not, I have a pistol range at my land about 2 hours west of you. You can come out and blast some Steel there.
  14. It might be worth my time to go visit Oak Hill Guns. They are only a couple hour drive from me. That way I could at least handle each and see which feels better to me.
  15. Ok, here's another one for you guys. What's the difference between the Custom and Custom Target?
