  1. You should try to pick up some TMMS for your tekloks anyway. With so much potential gear on the belt I found it really nice to snap off and leave in my bag anything that wasn't needed far particular stages.
  2. I have eaten there a few times. Hate to state the obvious but check out Temple Square if you haven't yet. The city was pretty much built around it and they have some interesting tours and such. I believe you can wonder into the Family History Library (https://www.lds.org/locations/temple-square-family-history-library ) and some nice old ladies will help you to look up your genealogy. I had some friends who went there and found that to be the highlight of their trip even though it wasn't planned.
  3. I shot Classifier that hard at mandatory reload from the first position. Since there was no movement before the reload I think you could easily get away with pushing a mag between your belt and body or just reloading from a back pocket. If that doesn't work she if you can put a TMMS or ELS receiver on your belt at the correct position. It would be easy for someone to snap out a pouch on ELS or TMMS and let you use it for a stage.
  4. Anything? Your belt clashes with your shirt. Otherwise it looks like it's talking you too long to confirm your sights. For example there seems two bedroom apartments noticeable delay when you draw or come to any new target when you gun is on the target but it must be talking you awhile to get your sights where you want them.
  5. Right, I am definitely talking about the better than nothing approach. I guess my point is don't just zero at 50 or zero at 25. Zero at 50 +2 clicks and confirm at 25 +12. When you get the chance then confirm at 200. It isn't prefect but I can't rolling onto and public range with 100 yards + without a 2 hour drive in etch direction some I have to make due. Sorry far in have been surprised by how close I have been able to get by just using accurate calculations.
  6. Not always. Lower hit factor stages (ones that generally take longer to complete) will generally favor points over speed. Higher hit factor stages, you had better have a low tide to have a chance at winning.
  7. It sounds to me like you are suggesting some type of Wiki as a cohesive knowledge repository versus digging through forum topics for tidbits. I think this is a great suggestion as you frequently see the same questions come up again and again. I don't think a Wiki and an associated like to a FAQ page would be difficult to put together but it could be very valuable for forum users.
  8. I have to think that when using a shorter range to sight in for a longer zero that having the correct measurement of the line of sight over bore is critical given the extreme angles that would be involved. Not sure how others do it but since I have a round hand guard I used some digital calipers to measure I took the distance from the bottom of the hand guard to the top of the scope and subtracted one half of the diameter of the hand guard, and one half of the diameter of the scope above that point on the hand guard to figure my exact line of sight measurement.
  9. I used to occasionally use an airsoft for dry fire practice. It works really well except for the fact that the escaping gas quickly cools the reservoir to the extent that it becomes too cold to function. Even with one spare magazine I couldn't go that long before having to take a break to let the magazines heat up again. I have read that some put the mags down on a heating pad in between uses to get them functional faster.
  10. Look like the Tactical Sport but with a comp. You should be able to find a TS in . 40 or 9.
  11. I had the same challenge since the closest ranges to meet only goes out to 20. I used the Strelok app with great success and highly recommend it. I needed to measure the scope sighting overall bore, getting ammo velocity, and ballistic coefficient for the bullet. I don't have a chronograph so I took the rated velocity for my amount and subtracted 100 FPS since I am running an 18 inch barrel and I am guessing test velocities would be 20 inch. I wanted a 200 yard zero. The calculator gave me 16 clicks (1/2 MOA per click) at 20 yards so I zeroed my scope at 20 yards and then set the target turret to 16 clicks so that zero would theoretically be on at 200 yards . I was able to stop by another indoor range and shoot at 50 to confirm that I was correct with my work on the shorter range. I think I made some minor adjustments but it was very close at 50 plus 2 clicks (as calculated). I shot a match with targets out to 300 and the gun was dead on. Having the confidence of the portable ballistic calculator in my range bag was great too because there is no more guess work about drop, clicks and etc.
  12. Just realized how dumb this comment was given that I have a big hammer kind of needs access to the back plate. Oh well, back to the old drawing board.
  13. All correct. You should also consider shooting the Trojan in Single Stack Minor Division instead. You are free have up to ten in the magazines and you have a have a slight capacity advantage over teh guys shooting 40 or 45 who can only load 8 in the mags.

    SP-01 bump fire

Same thing happened to me on my TS. Turned out to be just a hair too much over travel screw. I think the check on the TS was to hold down the trigger while moving the hammer back and forth to see whether it catches.
  15. Mine hasn't but I wouldn't say it's "very" stiff either. That's how I would describe mine too. Some have spent them back to the factory to get them loosened up.
  16. Maybe something like this? http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0012RFP00?pc_redir=1395344016&robot_redir=1
  17. You need to find a buddy with a PC that you can drop your hard drive into as a second (slave) drive. See whether you can access you pictures. Does you have your your Windows CD? You can try booting from that and reloading the operating system. Just make sure you select to keep programs and files instead of doing a full clean operating system build.
  18. I have a minotaur for my CZ Compact L. It's pretty nice but not the easiest to get on and off in a hurry for me. I if that was a requirement I would get the CoM Kydex that has the single large clip.
  19. The benefit is that you let the spring and the slide release do all the work. I think I started doing it during the 94 ban when I was using tight fitting 10 round Glock mags in my 34. I guess to each his own as long as you are using the slide release during slide lock reloads. How pulling the slide back to release it became the tactically cool thing to do I will never know.
  20. When are you trying to charge the pistol with the mag inserted? I usually lock the slide open when loading.
  21. I will have to look closer at the Multi Gun rules but in USPSA you can reholster provided it is in the condition referenced above but a course of fire can never require you to reholster.
  22. I thought you were going to demand a reshoot or else another hostage gets it.
