  1. FYI, here is a thread from Springer Precision about its new M&P basepads. Looks like the .25" fit the box with room to spare but there is also a .375" length option. Scott Springer (Loves2Shoot) is a regular here an I am sure he would be happy to point you in the right direction for legal options to extend the grip using basepads. http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=190933&view=&hl=&fromsearch=1

    FPB engagement

The CGW SRS 1 or SRS 2 include a modified lifter and firing pin to improve the FPB pull. I put one on my Compact L along with a type 2 Disconnector and it is 95% as good as my Shadow. http://cajungunworks.com/short_reset_system_-_srs.html
  3. Wow. Would love to see one of these for a CZ TS. Love the gun but hate that there is minimal real estate for racking the slide.

Have you tried the CGW parts?
  5. Looks like good grip. Is that how you have been shooting? While not as sever I have the same issue with my CZ when using the 17 round magazines which don't extend much beyond the bottom of the magwell. Because of this I have standardized on using the 18 round mags which add a place for my pinky to comfortably rest. I will likely be retrofitting all of my 17s and 18s with the new Springer Precision basepads that extends them all to that longer length. When sshooting my G27 I used to curl my pinky under the grip but I suggest that the better move would be to invest in some extended basepads. YYou could use the Springer Precision M&P extensions to add another .25" on if you need more length then pick up some Taran Tactical 140mm extensions. The Springers don't add capacity whereas the Taran Taticals would. Not sure about fitting in the box with the 140mms so it's something to investigate. As long as it still fits in the box and you only load to 10 rounds then you should be legal to run any of the aftermarket basepads.
  6. Very little if any delay
  7. Assuming 100 yard zero .267 BC, and 2.7" scope hight I get 450 625 749 843 923 985
  8. Do you know the ballistic coefficient for the round and scope hight?
  9. Right, Anti Virus for macs is strongly advised now. They aren't immune, just used to have a small enough market share that cyber criminals were focusing elsewhere. That is no longer the case.
  10. Mac for dummies close enough? http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/1118517199/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1395093997&sr=8-1π=SY200_QL40
  11. Not a shooting box. Effect may be the same but it's legal.
  12. Correct. USPSA Single Stack or IDPA would require the removal of the DOH attachment which is not a difficult task. You also might have to shim or slightly reangle the DOH to ensure the handle of your gun is no greater than two inches from the inside of your belt.
  13. Rather than continue to try and type out what I am trying to describe I made you a short video showing you my grip. Let me know if it's at all helpful.
  14. Kydex is certainly prefer to leather. Lots of good choices. Uncle Mike's and fobus are cheap but work fine for beginners. Blade tech, comp tac, Center of Mass kydex, and others are fairly similar in price and all work well. These dealers also tend to have some type of competition pack which includes magazine pouches. The biggest advantage of kydex over leather for competition is the smooth and consistent draw. Leather binds. Having it stay open after the draw is a benefit however using your leather holster should not be a safety issue. You are never required to reholster on the clock. Take all the time and care you need to reholster your gun safely.
  15. It shouldn't require you two move your fingers any lowered with your left hand to make it work but your left wrist should begin angled sharper which will naturally bring the left thumb higher on the gun. The only thing you have to do then is make room for it by getting your right hand out of the way. I have large hands as well (not as large as yours though) and used to have the same issue with getting my support hand engaged. I might be able to get you some pictures or a video describing how I do it. I think Enos covers this in his book and I seem to remember the topic coming up in one of Burkett's videos as well. I think being able to get your support hand higher and more of your support hand's palm on the gun will correct the issue discussed in this thread. Having a slightly larger grip on the gun would of course help too. Any chance you have tried a Houge grip sleeve to set if that makes it any better?
  16. Any chance you have video from the other side? It looks like you may not have your left hand properly engaged on the grip. It looks from the video like your left thumb is pointing up at a 45 degree angle instead of boring parallel with the barrel. It makes me think that your right hand grip is getting in the way of your left hand being able to get down on the grip. I have to lift my right thumb up and off the grip at first to make room to get the palm of my left properly engaged. Then my right thumb rents on top of my left thumb or rides the safety with both thumbs running parallel to the barrel.
  17. Sorry, I missed the from safariland part. The Powerfactor Show just covered placement of a Safariland holster for IDPA. might help.
  18. The barrel on the 19 is too long for the bug gun matches.
  19. Thanks Doug. Brings up the need for a common 3 Gun rule set again.
  20. Try Center of Mass holsters. http://www.comholsters.com Ricks makes all of these by hand and I have found the attention to detail better than several of the problem others who have gotten big.
  21. 23 feet is the minimum distance for shooting steel but if using Fault lines they must be at 26 feet minimum.
  22. Creative use of the shooting areas on all of these. What is the distance to that first middle popper? You need to make sure they can't engage that one from too close.
  23. I think most empty the shotgun by shooting the remaining rounds in a safe direction. Not hard since most only load up with just enough rounds to get through the stage. Rifles are more likely to be put on safe than shotguns.
