  1. Sorry, I forgot to include the press details. Dillon 650, 9mm, lee dies, bayou 135 with titegroup.
  2. I am working on addressing my lack of accuracy and started working on the dot drill today. Talk about a humbling experience... I went 36 at 3 yards! I am going to take a break from shooting at steel and focus on this drill and other accuracy drills for a while. I was wondering, how far can you cleanly shoot this drill?
  3. After nearly 10,000 reloads (6k on single stage) I experienced my first squib today. Although I watch the third station very carefully to visually inspect the case for powder one was able to sneak by. Luckily I was doing slow fire drills and the squib case didn't eject. This now has me in the market for a powder check die for a little extra insurance. I have looked through the forum and am leaning towards the Dillon die or the RCBS lock out die. Thank you for your help!
  4. I use a RCBS 505 scale for all of my reloading career and it has proven to be very accurate and reliable. I am sure that a digital scale would be convenient for some things, but for checking charge weights I feel the beam style makes the job easier. Just set the scale to the load you want, throw a charge into it, and see if the needle lines up.
  5. I just threw the Lee dies I had on mine to see if they would work before upgrading, and I haven't found the need to upgrade yet. How many different bullet profiles are you loading, and how often do you change OAL? Might be worth finding something with a micrometer seater.
  6. I am anxiously awaiting the release of a left handed version of this rifle. I have been wanting a 6.5 creed for a while and this will fill the hole in my safe perfectly.
  7. Like mentioned above, I have had no issues using the Dillon rings on my Lee dies. I did have the Dillon powder die loosen and turn on me, but no other issues with the die set up on the press.
  8. Mine is just as accurate as the RCBS Uniflow I was using before the Dillon. Is it dribbling powder from the measure, or is powder spilling out when the plate turns? What calber/powder are you loading?
  9. I don't load for .300 BLK but the Forster dies are fantastic! Pick up the micrometer seating die if you plan on loading multiple types.
  10. Out of curiosity, what are the rounds? Are we talking hunting rounds or cheap surplus stuff? You might just keep it for trade fodder.
  11. I have tried the .22 69 TMK and they worked as advertised, for what I am doing the cost over the normal 69 SMK isn't justified.
  12. I recall seeing a set up where the presses were mounted to a piece of plastic that was dovetailed into a slot on the bench. I will look around and see if I can find it again.
  13. I'd recommend giving this this a read, your question should be answered in chapter 6. http://www.lasc.us/Fryxell_Book_Contents.htm
  14. I'd be curious to know the OAL also. I have no experience with the Walther but 95% of my handgun loading has been coated bullets. Make sure you are belling the case. Also, what seating die are you using?

    CZ-75 CTS LP P

I really need to find one of these to try out. I owned a P01 once but couldn't get used to the trigger. The CZ grip is incredible though and that is a beautiful gun.

  17. FO Front and plain rear for me please. For carry guns its a tritium front and plain rear sights as well. For whatever reason if I don't have tape on my glasses I see 5 dots and get confused on which one is which.
  18. What is the general consensus on the best ambi safety to put on your ar?
  19. Starline is to handgun brass what Lapua is to rifle. I don't bother with it for service calibers, but definitely prefer it for revolvers.
  20. I understand the break every 100 rounds, but I find that with the 4 extra tubes I now have something to do when my wife is watching her shows on tv. I can sit quietly loading my tubes without getting nagged for spending too much time in the man cave.
  21. Thank you for the very entertaining read! Great job on the cart, you have some really cool design ideas there.
  22. Do the primers still slide freely in the tube itself? If it is just the plastic piece did you get a spare with the press?
  23. Have you looked at using a rifle rest? I haven't used a tripod to shoot off of but the rest would be far more precise on your adjustments.
