  1. Lee, are your marketing your secret or is it open source?

    44/40

Unless you've got a pile of .45 LC cases, I'd just order 44-40 brass from MidwayUSA or another supplier
  3. All hardcover misses and a -1
  4. Have you seen the prices for 686's lately? You used to be able to find them every day for $275-350. Now you're looking at closer to $500.
  5. I shoot them all occasionally but SSR, ESR most of the time.
  6. Dave Clements in VA does outstanding work. Not sure what his lead time is right now
  7. Please repeat after me "The sky is not falling, the sky is not falling, the sky is not falling, the sky is not falling." Repeat as often as necessary I don't believe having the stand alone nationals is going to increase local participation so we are trying to find ways to do that. One of the options is to allow the 8-shot revolvers. Other ideas are being entertained as well, but the Eor approach doesn't do anything towards achieving that goal. Locally, get involved with setting up the match stages. Help the MD get out of the shoot 8, move, shoot 8, move mentality by providing creative stage designs that provide more than one way to shoot. I believe that is going to do more than anything else to level the playing field between the 6 & 8 shooters.
  8. I read the website too. But the question is - Is the over travel stop part of the original XD/XDM trigger or was it added. If it was added and it is visible, then it is an exterior modification and is not allowed for SSP
  9. Is the trigger stop visible? If it is, you can't use it in SSP, per 8.2.1.3.7. Internal action work may be used to enhance trigger pull as long as safety is maintained (no visible external modifications allowed). If it isn't visible, you should be good to go.
  10. Say what? The grace period is Jul 1 - Sep 30 for everyone to get familiar with the new rulebook and the SO's to get certified. The new rulebook is not the rulebook until Oct 1. If you're operating under the new rulebook now, you're not in compliance with the current rules. Are the sanctioned matches between now and Sep 30 going to be run under the current rulebook or the new one? They can only be run under the current one so why are folks jumping the gun? I can see posting major rule changes at the clubs or discussing the rule changes at monthly matches prior to Oct 1, but can't see running the match under a rulebook that is not yet in effect.
  11. There you go, expecting that common sense thing again...
  12. Shhhhh...Be very, very quiet, we're hunting kittens! (E Fudd)
  13. I believe what we're seeing from the limited data we have that 8-minor is not a lock and 6-major can be competitive. It just frustrates the hell out of me why folks think they've got to spend X to get Y or they're not competitive and if they have to do that they're going to take their ball and go home We're trying to find ways to increase participation. Let's try it first before we predict the sky is falling.
  14. Do all of those and you'll be a vastly improved shooter. Learn to call your shots so you're not looking for hits. Move on the "BE-" and not on the "-EP". Be ready to shoot when you reach your position, otherwise you're wasting time. Prep the trigger so when your sights hit the target you're ready to shoot. Practice this for 6 months and then do another video to see the difference.
  15. I didn't see anything on my page that indicated it one way or another. I don't know how long it takes to post but it's been less than a week since I took mine so I might not be in the system yet.
  16. Yup, heaven forbid, a lefty put a cylinder release on an SSR gun that they can actually hit because we know that wouldn't be useful in a ____ ________ ________...
  17. SOI testing is done or is supposed to be. If you go to the IDPA website and select the member tab, then check the SOI box, it'll bring up a list of SOI's. I've been a member since 98, a match director since 98, certified SO since 2002 and SOI since 2005 but my name isn't on the list either... Guess I'm not part of the "In crowd".
  18. No, USPSA isn't ICORE but if the goal is increasing revolver participation and we're in the brainstorming stage, let's look at all the options. This one opens the door for the 6-shot speedloader guys to compete on less of a slope than there is right now.
  19. While I am in support of the change to 6-major/8-minor, I also support making it a provisional change like we did with SS. Maybe that would stop some of the knashing of teeth...
  20. If you're looking for a bulky low recoil powder, Trail Boss is probably your best bet.
  21. California Competition Works makes one that has the flat button like the Hogue but comes straight off the side piece
  22. Edit: Letting the chrono decide would still allow the K/L frame crowd to play in major if they wanted. Just a thought... They can do that now
  23. Chris Stewart (Ready Tactical) makes some great equipment and and has supported the sport for a long time.
  24. Whatever you shoot the best...
