  1. I have a PT Evo insert for my Racemaster and the fit is incredibly sloppy.
  2. Finally shot my Titan (which is just a .40 Titan topend for a Chaos) today. 300 flawless rounds and some solid match performance. Hadn't shot limited since February so the fiber was a little weird for me, but the gun is great, incredibly accurate and tracks beautifully. A friend compared it to his DVC and said it was night and day difference in how easy it was to return the sights back on target.
  3. Running the same as everyone else, Wolff 8#, but I cut 3 coils off to get the right length.
  4. Thanks Bill! That's what I use, I like it.
  5. Somehow lost my extractor. Anyone know if the X5 uses the same one as the regular 320? Good place to purchase?
  6. I've put about 5K through the frame since February on my 9mm Major Chaos topend. I figured since I have a couple months until my next major, it is a good time to finally test out the .40 topend. Since I was taking the optic off for a deep clean anyways, it wasn't a big deal to make the switch. I wish I could do it by just grabbing a different gun from the safe, but then I remember that this route was a couple grand cheaper!
  7. Put the steel far away so that there is a longer time between when the target reacts and when your sights lift. It may make it easier for you to focus on calling the shot versus transferring your vision to the target.
  8. This. Just when you are starting to see improvement is not the time to stop! Get those solid reps in and make it your new standard.
  9. Lena's Mossberg broke at World Shoot and she had to move to a backup... This is at least the second time I've heard of this for her. Never heard of someone having to go to a backup Benelli. She's so good that she still won, but why would you want a gun that always has a pretty decent risk of breaking.
  10. 7.4gr WAC 124gr PD JHP Fiocchi reman cases CCI 500 1.167 OAL = 174.5 PF
  11. Linden Gun Range hosts 3-gun matches, as does Sacramento Valley Shooting Center. Richmond hosts a multigun practice one Saturday morning out of the month, and occasionally hosts multigun from what I understand. Lincoln Rifle Club also has 3gun matches. If you're in the bay area, you don't have to travel too far to get to a 3-gun match. I haven't shot any of these yet because I made a choice to stick to USPSA for 2018 (only lived here for less than a year).
  12. Didn't know these things were out in public yet. Do they provide any advantage over SPS... STI? They don't appear to be the level of quality that the high end custom gun makers are at, but that's just best guess from pictures.
  13. Loving this gun. ~4400 rounds through it since February.
  14. All alphas in 5.95. 10.08 HF, or about 84%. Lost probably .25 on the reload, and on the first pass my transitions were a little slow. I slowed it down to half speed and could tell I wasn't beginning my transition as soon as the sight lifted.
  15. Probably the best setup I have seen was just system of boxes built using heavy duty wood. One box held steel stands, another the targets, another held range bags, etc. Cheap, light, efficient. Not the prettiest but it worked. You could cover part or all of it in carpet to keep noise down.
  16. Pretty sure there is a USPSA match in Lubbock. My teammate Mark Ziebart is stationed at Cannon and talks about it a fair amount. Good luck and welcome!
  17. I don't think you'll be upset with either one, you just need to shoot both and see what you like. I love my Razor, and within 300 yards, 6x is not a disadvantage in the slightest. I'd really only prefer more power at the 500+ range.
  18. Odd that this list is missing the (in my opinion) the two most popular triggers in 3-gun. AR Gold and Hiperfire. Both are excellent. As is the Timney Calvin Elite. The CE has a similar feel to my Hiperfire ECL, but even lighter. I was not happy with my CMC and Geissele triggers. I use Hipefire for my rifles, but I would absolutely recommend the AR Gold and Calvin Elite as well. I have tens of thousands of rounds through my hipefires and not one issue.
  19. I just purchased a new pair yesterday and I bought my last pair probably 18 months ago. I only wear them at matches, so probably a total of 30 days per year. It's not great, but as comfortable and functional as they are, I really don't mind spending a little extra for them compared to cheaper shoes. If there's an area to cut money, I don't think shoes is one of them.
  20. Learn to call your shots properly and you won't need a laser system, it creates bad habits.
  21. Dillon just picked up advertisement on Practiscore, so who gets the better end of the deal? USPSA has ~30K members... Practiscore has 100K+ users.
  22. I wouldn't buy it, but I'm sure there's plenty that would. As with any gun, you won't get what you paid for it if it's 4 years old, especially if the gunsmith no longer is in business. I don't think it necessarily has to do with his charges.
  23. Find a top shooter with locked out arms... No, Chris Costa is not a top a shooter.
  24. Completely different kinda animal. They're called micro red dots for a reason, and it seems like nobody has figured out the magic yet. The Trijicon RMR's are probably the closest thing to having reliability of the full size optics, but they aren't the best for competition.
