  1. Interested to see the new reticle but the Gen1 sucked. Can't see the hash marks and the circle is too small to be really effective on paper. Hard to beat the Leupold DCD Pris for Limited.
  2. Mike and Miley are the same person. Mike during the week and Miley on the weekends. Irrespective of that he/she does amazing work.
  3. I like the Safariland 014 holster. Comes out easily and locks securely. For 3gun I run a blade tech WRS retention holster. Both work great with my SVs.
  4. I used to unload my M2 by depressing the shell catch until it bent in over time and started allowing shells to pop back onto the lifter either during loading or firing. Now I just rack them out even for loading practice sessions. Not worth the chance that will happen to you in a match, which is where mine screwed up.
  5. I love my Seekins. Now have two rifles set up with them. The flat bottom/sides take a little getting used to but it's great on baricades or when shooting off the side of something.
  6. I am running the Invictus Practical hanger too. It's way more sturdy than the BladeTec version. Takes some work to get the BT hanger off though.
  7. Head to your local match and ask to shoot a few different ones. Most people are more than happy to let you run a few rounds through theirs before you purchase one. I would rather lose an arm than sell my M2 which is crazy accurate with slugs and I have yet to have an issue with as long as I clean it every 500 rounds or so in 3 years.
  8. Kurt and Mark, I set up a test and built a vice using toilet paper rolls, styrofoam and duct tape and found that there was a ton of difference b/w the 24" and 26" and that the POI moved around on every shot...... I am thinking that it might be barrel deformation due to heat. Thoughts?
  9. The simple fact there are so many threads on the JM not running should tell you something. One thing I have learned the hard way in this sport is buy once cry once is absolutely true. Benelli's just run. Have a few friends that are shooting the Stoeger (including Stoeger sponsored shooters) and haven't seen one take a dump yet. If money isn't an issue or you want bombproof reliability, get a Benelli. Have one friend whose Benelli finally had an issue and it turned out he hadn't cleaned the bolt in 3 years (about 5k rounds). That's reliable.
  10. I run the holster on a QLS. It's way more stable and secure. I have a QLS with an ELS attachment so I can run a vertical Invictus 12Q for long shotgun stages or stages when you need to go prone with rifle and don't have to have the pistol.
  11. Cyrus is also extremely good. Can't go wrong with any of those. I have used all three with great results.
  12. Benny Hill or Jeff Cochrum at C-Rums would be my recommendations.
  13. there are a lot of people running EO's in Limited that love them though. Personal preference. Go to a match and ask someone to try theirs before you buy. Most are more than happy to let you try them out.
  14. Prisms have an etched reticle so if the battery dies you can still see the reticle. You can also turn off the illumination when you want a black reticle instead of a red- bright sunlight for example. Pure red dots or EO's will screw you in a match of the battery dies mid-stage. EOs have an issue lately holding zero supposedly. A few articles on the web about how pissed the SpecOps community is at L3 out there.
  15. You want a Prism sight like the Spitfire, Leupold Prismatic or the Burris AR1X. All are good sights. My personal prefernece is the Leupold DCD Pris. Love the reticle and it's very fast on close paper.
  16. The Strike Eagle was very clear. Nice optic for the money for sure. Almost as good as their Gen 2 1-6 for about a quarter the price. I already put in a preorder for 2.
  17. I went with the Invictus Practical hanger. Works great, though getting the screws out of the WRS is a pain. Red locktited in for whatever reason...
  18. Even the pros have to offset their costs. Check out Jessie Tischauser's cost analysis of last season's expenses to shoot the matches he went to if you doubt that.
  19. It boils down to prize tables. There are more people in TacOps at most major matches and the prize tables are arranged accordingly. I shoot both Lim and TacOps depending on the match. It takes more skill to shoot 500 yards in Limited (TacIrons) than it does with a 6x scope but if the prize table sucks and you can't take enough off of it to pay part of the cost to shoot the match, it's worth shooting TacOps. And there are some matches that are not geared towards Limited. Fallen Brethren is one of those. Absolutely fantastic match but not one I would even think of shooting Limited at.
  20. I would sell that POS to anyone that will buy it and buy a Benelli M2 and never worry about having an issue again. One of the guys I shoot with just had his first malfunction with his M2 at Fallen Brethren. He hadn't cleaned it in over 6K rounds. That is reliability.
  21. I am 6'3" with ape arms and I have the Ace on my limited rifle and I love it. I never adjust the adjustable stocks on my other rifles anyway. They always wins up all the way out. The Ace is light and sturdy. Only downside is the lack of a QD attachment for a sling that some matches require.
  22. What is the longest rifle shot that you anticipate there being? Trying to decide b/w TI and TO. Can't wait to shoot this match.
  23. Don't you think the Benelli is just an overpriced 930JM when you get down to it though?
  24. Another great Sectional match at OFGC!! Thanks Bruce, Deb, Dale and the whole crew for putting on another fun match.
  25. Wasn't saying the match was not going to happen, just that myself and the group I shoot with won't be attending.
