  1. Stripped, brushed, and coated with Sharkhide... Along with the factory magwell on my Limited Pro that was also stripped, brushed, and coated with Sharkhide... Ok, those stipples grips are pimp. Those just regular rubber Tanfo grips?
  2. This was a great match and one I'll make for years to come. I managed again to make the "highlight reel" in a Major this year but I had fun;-)
  3. What load are you running with AutoComp? I just got one and I haven't had time to mess with springs but also whatever in it has been running good but only one match with it. Plan on stripping down next month and when clean it good check and test some springs. I ran some bayou 124s with 7.7 grain AutoComp and made PF but think losing too much gas so bumped to 7.9 for next test whenever that comes. I'm sad I didn't trade one of my Stock II for that gun a little, lol. Such a nice blaster
  4. If anyone has any "big sticks" for a Tanfo Open gun will y'all post up some pics? Just curious what they look like. Wondering if some use the Henning base pads or they just like the 25 rounders and no extended base pad on them. Thanks. I am still looking to get one or two. Gump
  5. You mean the Eric G grips? You can get them at www.lastroundarmament.com
  6. 2.9 grains of TG behind 180g Bayou Bullet shot very soft and was around 129PF give or take out of my Tanfo Stock III
  7. Hey guys, I just wanted to let y'all know that if anyone is ever looking for a new Tanfo or other pistol, PM me as a few fellow shooters have offered to help other shooters and they can beat many prices along with customer service. My new Limited came in today and couldn't be happier. That is one thing I love about USPSA is the camaraderie between fellow shooters. Anyways, just wanted to let y'all know. Edit- Not saying got magic to find Stock II's in 9mm or anything. Just sharing a friend who's willing to help out fellow shooters with pistols. Gump
  8. I have one in 9mm, .40L, and getting one in .38 soon. They are WORTH every penny.
  9. I am partial to Tanfos but I think for a factory open pistol the Gold Custom is great. You can get a gun and mags and dot for a relatively cheap amount in terms of an Open setup. I already want another;-)
  10. My new Limited came in and I'm gonna try the 11# spring myself. Think have extra 10# too but may be too light
  11. Hennings pads work great. You can get them at Ben Stoeger pro shop separately or combo deal with grams guts included. Or Last Round Armament has them as well
  12. The comp on the GT is lacking, so I made the second port bigger with the idea of getting a little more out of the comp, then the holes: my first three holes are further from the chamber, so my theory is they will have less effect on velocity, also the idea of putting them at 12 o'clock is to fully utilize the gas with down force; with the opposing V ports, roughly half the force vector is canceled by the port on the other side. As saratoga pointed out, there may be some stabilizing effect provided by the V ports so hopefully my four v ports will be enough for that.My idea is to ream the three inline holes bigger if I decide it's worth trading powder for less flip. I've been playing with a Bedell super shorty 2011 that has a 4.4" barrel with three small holes and unfortunately I don't think I'll be able to make major with a whole case full of my favorite powders. For that one I might also try 124s to reduce the powder needed.
  13. Get the Racemaster with the magnetic block. It's expensive but I'm enjoying mine. I've had to do no fitting. I had a few times some hiccups getting it back holstered but that was from me not putting it in at correct angle I believe. Open still new here
  14. So you don't have all those holes in the barrel anymore right? I'm pleading ignorance here but the desired effect is flatter gun being with more gas going out the new holes and the redesigned comp and less gas bleeding out from get go from the lack of the popple holes?

    Accushadow

The gentleman decided to stick with Open and not shoot the Production route
  16. The plunger back into the pistol? This video helps
  17. What kinda thickness do they have? Are the sized like wooden grips? EG grips? In-between;-)
  18. I don't have a Match (one of a few Tanfos I don't lol) but I have shot the Limited and loved it. Another member on here got it but as luck would have it one will be coming to the unicorn stable soon. Once I get the Limited I have no clue what will be next on my list of Tanfos. Maybe a 1911 style tanfo for SS down the road. Anyways, you cannot go wrong with any of the steel framed tanfos. I thoroughly enjoy shooting everyone I own.

    Accushadow

Guys, I have a friend who has a BNIB Accushadow that he's decided to go a different route with. $1899 shipped so if anyone is interested in more details or pics just PM me.
  20. I guess why we are on Henning subject, what's the difference in the Briley match barrel vs factory that's listed on website? Are they that much more accurate? Also how would a gunsmith "be able to fit to a large frame" Tanfo as every Tanfo I got is large framed.
  21. Per Henning website: Square firing pin stop. Supposedly reduces the slide velocity. We don't know for sure, but we've been asked to make them and we do. Maybe it makes a difference, we don't think it's within our ability to say either way, but it cannot hurt. $19.95 Who knows? Lol
  22. Think 2 alphas on first target, a Charlie on second and a mike on the last shot over the shoulder. Stayed safe though, lol. The berm was fluffy where I landed
  23. Well gents, many of yall know me on the Tanfo forum and though it's not a chop shop post I figured I'd give yall all a laugh of what's become the talk of the Gator Classic last weekend. Enjoy
  24. I found prolly 3-4 discos in my collection of parts and nonsense the other night, accumulation is easy.
