  1. I am sure their is a thread somewhere but hard to search on phone. What holster is anyone running with their gold custom? I ordered a Ghost and it just seems the trigger guard too wide. Seems that I read that some use the DAA with no problems or fitting issues. I could be wrong though. Please let me know what y'all are running and how it's going for you. Thanks Gump
  2. Does anyone have or use the so-called Tanfo "big sticks" they've got for .38 super? I saw on EAA website they make a 25 rounder and was told with grams guts you can get 29-30 in it?
  3. After bringing my new open gun to 2 different gunsmiths and a machine shop I finally got the broken screw out of my grip myself. Put on a different pair of grips and the screws twisted right on in so the threads are still intact, ( least it seems so, fingers crossed). Now after I load 1500 rounds of 9mm this week, I'll throw the 38 super setup on my Dillon and start experimenting with some loads using 7625 and autocomp, should be fun, lol
  4. Two spots are left in the class. If you're on the fence I'd suggest you take this chance to learn from the best
  5. Gotcha, I'll prolly use Winchesters for open
  6. All I've ever used is Fed small pistol primers. Why would one use rifle primers instead of pistol? I'm ignorant to the subject. I plan on running heavier setup than my Stock II and it'll be nice to not use my Fed primers for open gun
  7. I know I can count on the knowledge of Atlas. What # springs are we talking about as far as hammer and recoil?
  8. Hey guys, I want to get your advice on what to run in a Tanfo open gun. I know plenty about Production setups. My gold custom already has the Henning flat trigger installed. Are y'all running the Henning SÃO XL firing pin? What recoil and hammer spring weights? What about hammers? Thanks in advance Gump
  9. I'm no dr but the 4th and 5th from the top look like the ones that are protruding out on the nerves. That's what some of my MRI's looked like when I still had full looking discs. Hope things get better, back pain sux
  10. I'm hosting a class in LA the end of November from Ben if you're interested?
  11. 8.2.2 is what I keep going to as the COF was not started in correct position.
  12. You can buy from bens Stoeger pro shop now, think were like 12-14 bux or something, just saying
  13. As of today, the class is half full with commitments. If you are interested please contact before it fills up!!!
  14. You only want to slowly remove material from the sear leg that is associated with safety. My suggestion is to just start with dremel and remove a little, put back in and check if it's enough to work safety, if not then repeat until successful. I destroyed a sear my first go around, lol
  15. I just got a Gold Custom and I've only ever used Bayous in my other Tanfos. I'm glad to hear that the 124's can be used. Will test out them with either Autocomp or IMR 7625 as that's what I've got right now
  16. There are numerous threads on installation of this hammer. I am on my phone but you can find plenty of tips from other posters. I think the main thing (or in my case) was when putting the one piece sear in with the extreme hammer, you have to remove material from the sear leg that allows the safety to activate as the length of the hammer pushes the sear a little further forward causing the safety not to activate unless you work on that one leg. GO SLOW!!!! Very easy to remove too much and then you'll be ordering another sear
  17. I put the Eric hammer on both my Stock II's and I think it's better than delta hammer. You will want to run the one piece sear which with Eric hammer will require some fitting. Take it SLOW with polishing or fitting as I was over zealous my first time and ruined a sear. But in my mind it's worth it.
  18. Yes, I have along with others, all I can say is patience is your friend and good luck
  19. I've had 3 operations on my lower back from ruptures with the last one being on the operating table for 10 hours fusing L4, L5, and S1 together with 6 screws, 2 rods, and a cage. It sucks and I try hard to not let it impair my shooting but happens regardless. Hope you get healed and better soon
  20. I like the look of the Extreme models. I've thought about doing my Gold Custom in that style/look. Having a sweet blaster is cool but it looking badass is even cooler
  21. Yea, I honestly am not sure what happened but gun ran fine before that round and afterwards, I think it was prolly a combo of a weak case and a round that was little hotter than others for some reason. But main thing is no one hurt and I still have faith that this Gold Custom will be a tack driver when I'm ready to start shooting some Open. I noticed I shot everything low as I was driving gun down to control recoil out of habit with Stock II's instead of letting the comp do it's job, lol
