  1. Yes, that's what I'm really wanting. I'm thinking of putting one of my Stock II's in 9mm up for sale since I will prolly shoot Limited and Open for awhile before going back to Production. Open is so much fun:-)
  2. I've collected so many over last year and half its not funny, I think I'm gonna do what atlas said, just pull a few every session and eventually get them all outta the crap bin
  3. Baron, I put the Henning trigger in to make it SAO to backup my Limited gun but the Henning trigger just never got to where I liked it to be. I put in a flat factory trigger in and it is 10X better. A nice 2.25-2.5# pull with no over travel and a good crisp reset. The reset is a tad longer than I would like but I will fix that when I get around to it. It's just a backup gun for now. I did install a new EG flat trigger in my Limited and it has to be the best trigger in my line of Tanfos. It's close to 2.0# and has the cleanest reset. I did put in a different hammer spring and will run a over 500 rounds thru it between Sunday match and Monday practice to ensure no light strikes but I don't think that will happen with the extended FP and EG FP spring. I like the gun but guess I just want the backup for major matches to be the same as primary gun. Or I just may sell it and say the hell with a backup Limited gun and get another Gold Custom I have a lead on that is a great price:-) I have an addiction to these Italian pieces of steel, lol
  4. I took the Henning flat trigger out of my Stock III cuz I simply could not get used to it. Maybe 100 rounds fired using it. Anyone interested in a trade? I also have a brand new factory magwell that is gathering dust until I can locate a henning one. If anyone is interested in doing some trading let me know. While I am at it, I am enjoying Limited so much that I want to get a Limited HC in .40 for my backup instead of my Stock III. PM me if anyone looking to do some bartering:-)
  5. My title was meant to have a question mark in it... OopsI'm thankful you responded, I have enjoyed reading many of your posts on the Tanfo line. I have never had the opportunity to shoot one, I have a friend that is going to loan me his Witness Elite Limited... I'm afraid I will love it to much and want a Stock 2 also. I own both and love them, the Tanfos are great pistols
  6. Where did you find a used 650 and how much was it? Being able to set one up for large and small primers is probably ideal for people who shoot both.
  7. Mine which looks like the OP doesn't have markings on the butt either. I bet it was made for export to another country that required markings there and somehow that pistol made it's way into the USA? I don't think so. His is marked EAA Witness. They are only so branded for the US market. Everywhere else they are Tanfoglio and other various models but not a Witness (which is a weird model name to me for a pistol). What's been happening Baron? How's that Open gun been running? My big sticks are running great and still trying to find the perfect powder recipe but mine shooting like a dream;-)
  8. I don't think you'll find another sub forum on Enos as helpful as the Tanfo one. 43 posts of others saying they don't know the answer just messes up the feed. Go to the source always ie Tanfo/EAA is my best advice.
  9. I've shot some 124's grooveless and loved them, just were too smoky for my open gun but I use Bayous for everything else. I'm using the 180g TCG in my Limited gun now and they're very easy to load and accurate. I think no one will be disappointed in the grooveless bayous.
  10. Did you overnight your app on Monday? I mailed mine Priority to guarantee delivery on Wednesday but seems that may not even be good enough to get in.
  11. Alright guys, I'm simply having a brain fart but I finally got around to polishing my Limited and changing FP etc and my reset now on SA trigger seems to get "caught up or binds" when trigger resets. It does reset but not a smooth motion, it begins reset forward then it's like it meets some friction then resets. Am I making sense? Best way I know to describe it. Also is anyone running the CGW TRS or just factory trigger spring? I'd like to lighten the trigger some more but I don't wanna give up reliability for it since it's only a SA pull. Its about 3.5# right now
  12. I think only the Limited Pro is ok for IDPA, or the Stock I. Something about the full dust cover but don't quote me, I don't shoot much IDPA but a friend uses their Limited Pro if I'm not mistaken
  13. AutoComp is like non-existant down here in LA, I am lucky when I find a pound or two, LOL
  14. I got mine to shoot .40 minor in production, was very soft. I ended up getting another Stock II 9mm so mine now is a backup limited gun with SA trigger, they're nice guns.
  15. Yea, I have thought about that. The Henning is a tad bigger. Right now though I'm still working with loads and springs as the dot seems to be jumping around more than it should. I know it's a violent gun and all but I'm gonna shoot it with a M class shooter/builder and get some feedback on if I've got the optimal parts etc in it. Foremost right now I'm focusing on shooting Limited and training and tinkering/testing whatever you wanna call it with my other guns is on the back burner. I love the Limited and thinking of selling my Stock III and replacing it with another Limited as a backup gun. On another note, the 1911 is NOTHING like the other Tanfos internally, lol. I'm glad I have a local friend, shooter, and gunsmith who works pretty exclusively on 1911's cuz I'll definitely need help on it when time comes:-)
  16. Just got it today. The factory sights are pretty meh, it'll definitely need some trigger work and sights and magwell for SS but not shooting that division anytime soon. Hope to put a box of factory .45 cheap Blazer thru it Friday at practice
  17. Well I thought I'd updated the family portrait since it got a little bigger today.
  18. Well the gun came but different than the pic above which was description of where I ordered it but liking the all black better. Thanks OPENB for the tips.
  19. Santa's fat ass dropped off #6 yesterday to my FFL. I was surprised it came in all black and not the stainless steel color the picture showed but I like all black better. A unicorn for every division now except Revo:-)
  20. Gents, Santa brought me my 6th Tanfoglio for Christmas but my first ever 1911. I plan on using it in SS in the future. I am familiar with the upgrades in Limited, Production, and Open but not so much in SS. Maybe some can help with some questions. What Magwell is recommended or should I say preferred in SS guns and do they have to be custom fitted? My Henning mag wells on my Limited and Open guns were easy to install myself. What internal modifications are the norm for setting up a SS 1911 for USPSA? Does anyone have any experience with the Tanfo 1911 they can share? Any comments or thoughts will be appreciated. Gump
  21. It's just a want thing I guess. I might not even like it once I get it. If you can throw down the coin for a Stock II just cuz you want it the cheers to you. I bought my first Stock II (and Tanfo style gun) earlier this year and couldn't be happier. I've shot CZ's and the Accushadow and by all means they are great guns but I just prefer the ergonomics of the Tanfo. I've always said if you could put the CZ trigger into a Stock II then one would have the best Production gun made. The grip and the front and backstrap hard checkering is the catch for me. I liked it so much that I now own 2 Stock II's in 9mm, Stock III and Limited HC in .40, a Gold Team in .38 Super, and my newest was delivered to my FFL yesterday, a Tanfo Steel framed 1911. I don't think you'd go wrong with a Stock II but good luck finding one. You either need to be at the right place at the right time to find one whenever shipments come in or if someone decides to let theirs go but usually a lot of work and parts have been put into them so be prepared to pay top dollar. I was asked about selling one of my Stock II's and the price it'd take for me to let it go is far more than the $1000 that you can get if you are lucky to get one when a new shipment comes in.
  22. Nothing wrong with the Stock 1 at all but I did sell mine towards another 2 so they'd be the same as primary and backup production guns
