  1. Sounds like a few good dry fire sessions would probably fix the issue. I shoot production and so it's just get the Stock 2 out the holster. I suspect that's exactly what you would find. You may need to play around with the precise positioning and alignment of the holster so that the slot is in line with a natural arm motion for you. If my DAA magnetic gets knocked cattywumpus, then I'll start having a lot of resistance on draws and reholstering. But when it's correctly adjusted, and now that I've got the move ingrained, I feel it's better and faster than with my old low-cut bladetech. Thanks, I think you're right about it prolly being more me than the holster. Want to shoot more open this summer. Now if I can get my big sticks to be more reliable then it'll be game on, lol

  3. Thanks, the holster issues is the main reason I don't shoot open right now. I will go to holster and it's like the magnetic block is in the wrong position and so I have to pull the button in the back up or down then re holster and lock it. It's simply real finicky
  4. I've got a DAA magnetic holster for my open gun but I've had issues with it locking and staying in. The gun actually fell out at a charity match after unload and show clear and got me a DQ. Anyone using something different? Did you have to do any adjusting with the DAA? Thanks Gump
  5. I shot Bayou 147's for 2 years and they are great. Recently switched to the 124's and like them a little better. Both are accurate but the 124's have a little more snap but in a good way. The S2 is already a heavy gun so the recoil is manageable with both but the 147s are more a "soft push" felt recoil to me. I think it just depends on the shooters preference.
  6. I certainly hope and actually believe that Mosher and BPSA will hold a L2 match whether it be this year or next or whenever. I think we have a lot of LA shooters that shoot MS matches and vice Versa and with the popularity of both the Classic and the Gator, another L2 match in this area would be great.
  7. 9 total including myself I thought is was 41? Did you leave some of us out? Your check bounced so I left yours out:-)
  8. Gump, how many apps did you carry up to Jackson? I'm hearing crazy numbers thrown around, I said lets just ask the man. What do you mean "crazy numbers" thrown around? It was a hand full of apps. I didn't read it as each person must mail or deliver their own app, some just hitched a ride with me Thursday night since I was going and I didn't get the app before 8:00 that night in case anyone was wondering. Simply did what I thought was needed to guarantee I shoot this major match
  9. 2 major matches in MS would be freaking awesome!!! Maybe one day we could have a LA/MS co-major like the "Battle of the Boot" between Arkansas and LSU and add another major match to go with these 3. I certainly think the demand is there and plenty of clubs could help pitch in props and manpower and make it happen. Just thinking out loud;-)
  10. If you wanted to shoot it bad enough then you would have found a way, that's all there is to it. No matter how registration would be done, the range can only accommodate X amount of shooters. This topic will get beat to death again this year in this thread about the way registration was done or not done, right or wrong, yada yada yada. Bottom line is that it is what it is nowYour right!!! If I WANTED to shoot it I would have got a DO boy to bring it for me. [emoji6][emoji6]So you're on here asking for tracking numbers after basically saying your not even shooting or even put in an app? If you WANTED to shoot sounds like you didn't nor even applied? But hey, keep on stirring the pot to keep us entertained;-)I'm not asking for a tracking number. I'm just stating it is easy to see when it was mailed out. He should be able to see if there was an app leak out. I have shot the classic for many of years in a row before you have even thought about coming in to this sport and choose not to even attempt it this year because of some of the things I heard others going through to try and get in.And??? What dog do you have in this if you're not even participating other than to stir the pot and passively imply their maybe was an "app leak"??? But hey stay anonymous behind the Internet keyboard if you like but being you aren't going to shoot because you have to get your app in quickly evidently means you didn't wanna shoot it that bad. Carry on stirring things up on here though!!!!How is it I'm hiding behind a keyboard. Click on my profile I have nothing to hide. If you can't figure out how to do that I will make it easy BRYANT WILLETT. And you was laughing at me on how to do the quote. Lol Hey Bryant. I guess I'm "a DO Boy" whatever that means but did what had to do to get in match. I still think their isn't any leaking of the apps conspiracy and not about any favoritism or anything like that. This match has gotten so popular that it takes an extra effort if you want to shoot whether right wrong or indifferent. I'll be the first to apologize about the "hiding behind the keyboard" as from my phone it showed anonymous. But we are beating dead horse now cuz registration has passed.

  14. People who are active in the section and live in the state shouldn't have to sweat getting in their own state match, imo, but it is what it is. The gator got this one right, luckily for the LA guys, and it's unfortunate for the ms guys who aren't near Jackson. Driving 6 hours round trip to register is bananas. I'm just glad all matches aren't like this. It was about 4.5 round trip for me last night but like said it is what it is. It amazes me how fast this match and the Gator fill up. Shows a lot about the shooters and volunteers in our 2 states
  15. Wait listed last year, not happening this year. I basically had planned this since last year. You put on a match that's well worth driving 4-5 hours after working all day;-)
  16. I'm tired as hell at work today but the midnight run from LA was worth it, lol
