  1. Stoeger pads pop off in about 1.5 seconds. No tools required. They make cleaning mags during a match if needed a breeze. You will not be disappointed.
  2. Stoegers pads are awesome. I haven't looked back. They are durable, plenty big enough to get a good grip when reloading but aren't overly large. They are worth every penny in my opinion. Tell Tim at the pro shop Gump sent ya and he'll get you setup
  3. No, only TG cuz it's always worked great and guess I'm the "if ain't broke don't fix" type person
  4. Some of my 9mm load data using Bayou 147's out my Stock II, the ones that say Gump on the side. The other loads are from a buddy's G34
  5. what fixed it? Can't say it's fixed yet. I went Sunday to sight it in and only had limited amount of time. The first 100 or so rounds it was doing the failure like all the time. I changed recoil springs and got little better. Then the last 4-6 mags I ran thru it their were no failures. I won't know til I get back to range
  6. Mine did same thing but not just on the last round
  7. One trigger mod that I do now on all of mine that I don't see much on here (or I may just missed it) was rolling some real fine grit sandpaper and polishing the holes such as where the hammer pin goes in or trigger pin or the channel where the plunger goes down. I don't remove material but hitting all those spots just seem to make the action somewhat smoother albeit minimal. Just something I do when I got the pistol taken apart and while I am doing things anyways.
  8. I have used both the factory and delta hammers and I ended up putting the Delta in both my Stock II's and in my New Stock III and I think the hammer is a worthy upgrade. Is it an absolute necessity? I guess not but to me if you want to get the most out of your Tanfo then the hammer does make a difference. It does give the SA a crisper feel and supposedly does hit the firing pin with a little more ummphhh which just adds reliability. I found out the hard way on how easily light strikes can occur when I got my first Tanfo and was chasing the "awesome light trigger" and you gotta find a way to balance things out. Enough of my rambling, lol
  9. Now I've also shot 135's with great success as well outta my Stock II from Bayou and they are great too. Donnie will send you a sample pack. I may have some extras laying around too if you wanted to just load up a couple dozen to try.
  10. I've loaded tens of thousands of bayous and with the 147's I had the shaving problem and just adding a little more bell fixed it immediately.
  11. I'm not really sure, lol. I know that's bad but I was doing trigger job and just forgot but 95% sure was 8#. I took the recoil spring out my Stock II just to see and it still had feeding issues. Guess the puzzling thing was that after that I just put the spring I had in it back in and then ran about 60 rounds thru it perfectly. That's why part me thinks just needed little break in but I'll know exactly the next time I go as I'll have the right springs and gonna load few 9mm shorter
  12. Ok, I guess I was thinking of the extended Henning basepads. Yea the Shockbottle Stoegers are the way to go, awesomeness
  13. Are you shooting this in Production? Limited? The Stoeger are really only for production and they won't fit a Tanfo with a magwell or least not mine.
  14. 1.125 is about the longest I'll load my 9mm for my Stock II's. I could load a little longer in my G34 but they wouldn't feed in my Tanfo. That being said I used same load to sight in my new Stock III and had feeding issues the whole time the first 100 or so rounds but hoping that it just needed some breaking in and I had too light a recoil spring in it as the last 5 or so mags ran flawlessly. Also need to polish feed ramp but if have feed issues in III next time I'm gonna shorten OAL just a tad as maybe the Stock II can take them a little longer than the III can.
  15. These have been AWESOME since I switched from Bayou 135's. Call Donnie and tell him Gump sent you and he'll get you a sample pack. His 180g and 124g without grooves have been a pleasure to load and I think he's coming out with grooveless 147's sometime soon. Loading with 3.0-3.1 grains Titegroup at 1.125 OAL makes minor out my Stock II. http://www.bayoubullets.net/9mm-147-gr-fp-100-ct/
  16. Hey Gump,is that a 147gr BBI? did it feed reliably on your S2? 147 Bayous. They fed in both my Stock II's 100%, I wondered if maybe if I need to load a tad shorter with this Stock III? I guess not all gun are the same, they all behave differently. Yea, course after changing the recoil spring and the last 4-5 mags running with no problems im hoping it just needed that along with some breaking in, may have to shorten OAL a tad

  18. Well I took my new Stock III out today after some Easter festivities to sight it in and was a little surprised at what happened. I am using the same setup as in both my Stock II's and the same minor load which never gave me this issue. As pics below this was what happened the first 6-7 magazines I put thru it. This happened about 80% of the shots. I could almost every time bump the back of the slide and it'd go into battery.. This was what some of the following rounds looked like when I had to just rack the round out. I mean the next round in magazine after racking slide. I put what I think was a heavier recoil spring in (not sure the weight as just what had on me) and I put another 5-6 mags thru the gun slow and fast and the all fed fine. Do you think maybe the gun just needed a little breaking in and a heavier recoil spring than my Stock II's? I figured the same setup would work in both pistols. Thoughts appreciated Gump
  19. I cerakoted my Tanfo and would like to go back to hard chrome if possible. Can that be done even if a gun has been cerakoted?
  20. I bought a Stock I last year and it's a decent gun but I never liked the sights and the Stock II full dust cover makes huge difference to me. It's a good entry into the Tanfos but I'd wait, take that and put towards a Stock II or III personally
  21. The Stock III is a little longer. Different barrel. Weight is a little different. It would just be what gun feels better to the shooter I guess. Personally, I would like to have a pair of Stock III's in 9mm for Production vs. the pair of Stock II's I have. I just like the weight of the gun. Some may think it is a little to front heavy and you can transition faster with the II than the III. Just my personal preference.
  22. Can you tell much difference between the two in performance? I haven't shot my III in 9mm yet but I do have a III in .40 and I do like it. Both perform great, I think it's more on a shooters preference. All mine are tack drivers
  23. Well, if anyone happens to get their Stock III and they are not satisfied with it, I have a 9mm Stock II that I will part with in a partial trade or work out the details:-) I am digging my Stock III and ready to shoot it once I get it tricked out and find some time to get to the range, lol
  24. I checked, out of curiosity more than anything, and the serial number is not one of the 21 that I sold. That's good to know. Did you say you carry Henning products and MecGar mags for Tanfos?
